Housewife 311
After dropping off Prescott’s medication, Niamh drove over to Neovista Realty.
She’d arranged to meet Susy there and hand over the jewelry for the wedding.
Niamh wasn’t familiar with Neovista Realty; this was her first time visiting.
Susy had messaged her on WhatsApp, explaining she was swamped with wedding preparations and couldn’t pick up the jewelry herself, so she’d sent an assistant instead. Niamh was supposed to meet the assistant at Building Three at 2 p.m.
After checking with the security guard, Niamh followed the signs, still feeling a bit lost as she searched for Building Three.
“Niamh!”
A voice called out from behind her.
She turned, and her eyes widened when she saw Julian.
But today, Julian looked different.
He was wearing a white puffer jacket, light blue jeans, and a black beanie. The usual air of a high–powered executive was gone–he looked more like an ordinary college student, someone with little experience of the world.
Niamh found herself momentarily stunned.
This was exactly how she remembered him the first time they’d met.
“What are you doing here?” she blurted out.
Julian played it cool, pretending it was just a coincidence.
The truth was, he’d been waiting for her on purpose.
“I’m here to deliver the wedding jewelry to your fiancée,” Niamh explained, lifting the gift bag in her hand. “She said her assistant would meet me in Building Three, but I haven’t found it yet.”
“It’s fine, just give it to me, I’ll take you to her.”
“Huh?”
Niamh hesitated, but Julian went on, “I was just about to see Susy anyway. Who knows if she’ll be happy with the jewelry? I’ll take you along.”
“Well… all right then.”
13-20
She followed Julian out of Neovista Realty, the two of them keeping a polite distance as they walked.
Niamh couldn’t help but notice that, even with the wedding just around the corner, Julian still called Susy by her full name.
“Let’s take my car. It’s parked nearby–I’ll bring you back afterward,” Julian insisted.
With no better option, Niamh climbed into the passenger seat of his flashy red Ferrari.
As soon as she was seated, Julian let out a quiet sigh of relief.
His outfit today might have looked casual, but every piece had been carefully chosen.
He wanted this run–in with Niamh to feel like a genuine accident, a chance to step back into the shoes of the old friend he once was to her.
Julian drove in silence, and Niamh didn’t speak either, not until the car turned onto a street she recognized all too well.
“Julian, where are you taking me?” Niamh asked, a note of suspicion in her voice.
There was only one building at the end of this road.
And Susy definitely wouldn’t be there.
Because that building was the Juvenile Rehabilitation Center.
Julian didn’t answer, just kept driving.
Niamh couldn’t help but tense up.
It dawned on her that Julian never intended to take her to see Susy. Their meeting at Neovista Realty had probably been no accident either.
And she was right.
Julian had known Susy’s assistant would be waiting in Building Three, so he’d sent the assistant away ahead of time.
The Juvenile Rehabilitation Center loomed ahead, growing larger as they approached.
When the imposing building finally came into full view, Julian pulled over and stopped the car at the side of the road.
He got out, and Niamh followed:

Chapter 311
Seeing the look of concern on Niamh’s face, Julian suddenly felt uneasy,
“I don’t mean anything by this, please don’t be scared… I just… I just wanted to take a walk with you. Talk for a bit…” Julian’s eyes darted away.
Niamh could tell he wasn’t being completely honest.
Whatever Julian intended, it was clearly more than just a casual walk.
Still, while the place was desolate and a little intimidating, Niamh wasn’t really afraid that Julian might harm her.
