An uninvited guest walked through the doors.
Cyril was heading toward the stage when he heard the door open. He paused and instinctively looked toward the
entrance.
“You finally decided to show up.”
He quietly breathed a sigh of relief, but when he saw who it was, his brow furrowed immediately.
It was Freda’s lawyer, Edric Vale.
The lawyer walked step by step up to Cyril and held out the document folder in front of him.
“Mr. Prescott, Miss Lane asked me to deliver these to you.” Edric spoke in professional tone as he opened the folder and pulled out several papers.
“This is proof of your marriage to Miss Hart in Ireland. This is the fake marriage certificate between you and my client. From now on, your cohabitation arrangement is terminated, and you will not interfere with each other.”
“The property entanglements have been divided up. My client has returned all your gifts–here’s the itemized list.”
“This contains evidence and toxicology reports proving that Miss Hart poisoned my client.”
“This is my client’s miscarriage report.”
“And this is evidence that you sent people to assault my client, causing her serious harm. She can pursue criminal charges at any time.”
Edric slammed each piece of evidence in front of Cyril one by one. Watching his face grow paler and paler, the lawyer said mockingly, “Mr. Prescott, if you and your wife can behave yourselves and stop harassing Miss Lane, she’ll drop all charges.”
“Also, she wishes you and your wife a happy marriage, This USB drive has some very interesting videos–you can enjoy them at your leisure.”
After finishing, Edric didn’t even glance at Cyril and walked straight out of the ballroom.
Everyone at the party was shocked, especially Cyril’s friends, whose expressions toward Jolie completely changed.
They’d been helping such a vicious woman deceive Freda all along, giving them a crushing sense of guilt.
They all turned to look at Jolie with hostile eyes.
“This isn’t true! Don’t believe him, Cyril! Miss Freda must be framing me!” Jolie felt her cheeks burning as she instinctively threw herself at Cyril, sitting on the documents to hide them.
Cyril stood frozen in place, his eyes terrifyingly bloodshot, every muscle in his body tense. He looked down at Jolie

from above and said coldly, “Get off!”
“Cyril, you have to believe me! I love Miss Freda just as much as you do–how could I hurt her?” Jolie clung to his legs, crying hysterically.
Cyril stared at her intensely, his gaze like knives, scaring her into avoiding eye contact and guiltily turning her head
away.
“Everyone get out! GET OUT!” Cyril’s heart was burning with inexplicable panic as he roared at the crowd.
Jolie quickly got to her feet. Before she could take a single step, Cyril’s ice–cold voice rang out behind her.
“Jolie stays.”
Her body shook violently, and she stood there trembling uncontrollably.
She’d never seen Cyril this terrifying before.
Cyril had his bodyguards tie her to a chair and inserted the USB drive into a computer.
The first video showed the hotel room in Ireland, filmed through a crack in the door as he discussed marrying Jolie
with his friends.
The second video showed him helping Jolie with her prenatal checkup and feeding her at the revolving restaurant.
The tenth video showed Freda lying alone in a hospital bed, tormented by the pain of losing her child.
The final video was what Jolie had sent to her, with Cyril convinced that Freda had hurt Jolie…
When the videos finished playing, the air was deathly silent.
Cyril’s eyes were blazing with pure agony and rage. Freda had been innocent this whole time. He was the monster who’d destroyed the only woman who’d ever truly loved him…
