Logan was shocked. “Am I so disgusting to you that you’re about to throw up?”
I waved dismissively. “It has nothing to do with you. I’m just not feeling well.”
“Rayna, what’s wrong? Are you okay? Should I take you to the hospital?”
Just as he was about to help me, someone swatted his hand away.
“Don’t touch my wife!”
“Honey, what’s wrong? Where are you feeling unwell?”
“I’m a little nauseated.”
Without another word, Nate scooped me up in his arms.
“I’m taking you to the hospital.”
I buried my face in his shoulder. “Put me down-it’s not that serious. I can walk.”
“No, I like carrying you.”
Nate drove me to the hospital. After a series of tests, it turned out there was nothing wrong with me-I was pregnant.
I held the ultrasound report with delight.
“You’re amazing-a sharpshooter!”
Nate was ecstatic, spinning me around several times.
“This is wonderful! I’m going to be a dad!”
I told him to calm down because he was embarrassing me.
“Rayna, you’re pregnant!”
A shocked voice from behind startled me. I turned to find Logan had somehow followed us to the hospital.
Nate pulled me behind him protectively. “We’re legally married-it’s perfectly normal for my wife to be pregnant.”
“As for you, if you keep harassing my wife, you might find it difficult to continue living in this city.”

Logan broke down in tears-the first time I’d ever seen him cry.
“Rayna, I never imagined we would actually break up.”
Suddenly, his gaze shifted to something behind us.
“Autumn, what are you doing here?!”
I turned around quickly and saw Autumn also holding an ultrasound report, arm-in-arm with a stranger.
Logan rushed over and snatched the report from her hand. “You’re pregnant!”
Autumn panicked. “Logan, let me explain! I was drunk that night and mistook someone else for you.”
Logan slapped her across the face. “You slut! Do you think I’d still believe your lies?”
The man next to Autumn intervened. “Who do you think you are, hitting my girlfriend? You’re asking for it!”
The two men started fighting. When Autumn tried to separate them, Logan kicked her in the stomach.
She started bleeding immediately.
Autumn was rushed to emergency care with a ruptured uterus and severe bleeding.
Though her life was saved, she lost both the baby and her uterus.
She lost the ability to ever become a mother.
Logan was sentenced to three years in prison for causing grievous bodily harm.
When Autumn’s boyfriend learned she could no longer have children, he disappeared immediately.
Later, she married a random man out of desperation.
My pregnancy progressed smoothly, and I gave birth to twins-a boy and a girl.
Nate was overjoyed and immediately bought me an island as a gift.
The children grew day by day.
I was holding my daughter’s hand while Nate held our son’s as we strolled down the street.
Our son suddenly spotted a toy being sold by a street vendor.
“Mom, I want that one.”
I looked and saw it was a knock-off LaBuBu doll.
“Sweetie, let’s not get that one. Mom will take you to the mall ahead and buy you a better one.”
The shabby vendor picked up the dirty toy. “Mine is the authentic version. Why waste money at the mall?”
The moment he raised his head and our eyes met, he quickly lowered his gaze in panic.
“I’m not selling anymore. You should go to the mall.”
Well, well, an old acquaintance.
Logan now had an unkempt beard and a face full of wrinkles. He looked at least twenty years older than he had three years ago.
I pretended not to recognize him and continued walking with my children.
Nate glanced back. “That guy was stealing looks at us. He must think our family is incredibly good-looking.”
I laughed.
“You’re a father now-how can you still be so vain?”
Amid our family’s laughter and joy, the street vendor hung his head even lower.
