Chapter 21
Private Island – Dusk
It was the third day since Sebastian left to deal with work piling up at Reed Capital.
Scarlett stood by the floor-to-ceiling windows, watching the last sliver of sunlight vanish beyond the ocean horizon.
A maid tiptoed in quietly and placed a warm glass of milk on the table behind her. “Mrs. Reed, please try to drink
something…”
She didn’t turn around. “When is he coming back?”
“T-The CEO said, once he finishes-”
Crash!
The glass shattered against the wall, milk splashing across the floor.
“I’m not anyone’s ‘Mrs. Reed’. Get out.” Scarlett snapped.
The maid fled, terrified.
Scarlett bent down, calmly picking up the sharpest shard of broken glass.
Meanwhile, in Northbridge – Reed Capital HQ
In the executive boardroom, Sebastian sat at the head of the long table, fingers absently rubbing the edge of his phone
screen.
On it was a screenshot from the previous night’s surveillance feed: Scarlett standing alone on the beach, her figure fragile
and distant, like the wind might blow her away.
“Mr. Reed? About the acquisition proposal…”
“Delay it,” he said suddenly, rising from his seat. “Get the car. Airport. Now.”
The assistant blinked. “But the board meeting-”
“I said now.”
At the Private Jet Terminal.
The moment his plane touched down, Sebastian stormed down the stairs, barely letting the wheels cool.
Three days without seeing her, and it had already driven him mad.
“Mr. Reed, the gifts are ready,” the assistant jogged after him, arms full of elegant boxes. “The blue diamond necklace you
ordered, and her favorite-”
“Where is she?” Sebastian cut him off.
“In the master suite…”
The hesitation in the maid’s voice made his chest tighten.
His expression darkened instantly. Without another word, he broke into a full sprint toward the villa.

In the Master Suite,
Bang! The door flew open.
Scarlett was sitting on the edge of the bed, blood dripping from a cut on her wrist, staining the carpet in deep crimson.
Sebastian’s pupils contracted. He lunged forward and grabbed her wrist tightly.
“You try to die,” he growled, voice shaking, “and I’ll make the entire Sinclair family pay with you.”
Scarlett looked up at him, pale as snow, eyes filled with scorn. “What the hell do I have to do to get you to let me go?”
“Say you love me.”
“In your dreams.”
Sebastian stared at her for a long moment. Then, out of nowhere, he smiled.
That smile chilled her to the bone.
He released her and turned to his assistant. “Global live stream-now.”
The assistant blanched. “Sir… you can’t mean a-”
“A broadcast.” Sebastian bit out each syllable like a bullet. “Of our wedding.”
Ten Minutes Later
A livestream camera zoomed in on the glass wall of the master suite.
Sebastian stood tall in a black tux. Scarlett had been forced into a wedding dress-her wounded wrist hidden beneath a
silk ribbon.
“Go,” he ordered.
Within seconds, global news sites lit up with breaking headlines. The unexpected wedding of the century was now live.
Sebastian wrapped an arm around Scarlett’s waist and leaned down to kiss her.
Scarlett twisted her head, biting his lip so hard it broke the skin.
Blood slid down his mouth and dripped onto her white gown.
The livestream cut off. But it was too late.
The world had already seen.
“Sebastian Reed!” Scarlett shoved him away, lips stained with his blood. “You’ve lost your damn mind!”
He wiped his mouth, smile casual and frightening. “Now the entire world knows you belong to me.”
Scarlett stared at him like he was a stranger.
This man-obsessive, delusional, and completely out of control-
Was this really the same Sebastian Reed she had once loved?
