Jackson respected her actions so much that all the unease Katherine felt when she first saw the online comments disappeared in an instant.
But those comments still got to her, so she hesitated a bit and ended up telling Jackson about the comments she saw
online.
Katherine originally wanted to ask him if he was serious about her or just playing around.
But Jackson clearly misunderstood Katherine’s meaning: “They said you were lovers again?”
“Don’t worry, I’ll have those comments removed right away, you won’t see them again in the future.”
Jackson picked up his phone and made a call to his assistant.
In just three minutes, the internet instantly became clean and tidy.
Katherine saw him so efficient, she felt both touched and conflicted.
Say Jackson loves her, he dodges her questions. Say he doesn’t value himself, he quickly has people handle those
comments.
Katherine lowered her eyes, hiding the sadness in her eyes.

That night, Katherine couldn’t sleep because of this, and to her surprise, Jackson, who always had a regular routine, also
couldn’t fall asleep.
She looked at the person next to her who was also not asleep, blinked her eyes, and called his name softly, “Jackson…”
“Huh?”
The man turned to the side and pulled her into his arms, his voice slightly husky: “What’s wrong, can’t sleep?”
Katherine shook her head, “No, why haven’t you slept yet?”
Jackson’s body stiffened, his voice low and tinged with a hint of sarcasm.
“Baby, you got me all fired up and now I can’t sleep, how am I supposed to sleep, huh?”
When he said that, Jackson’s fingers gently traced across her back, then slowly slid down, and Katherine instantly felt a
tingling electric current echoing through her body.
Her face turned red quickly, she pushed him away and hid under the covers.
“I, I’m going to bed, you put out the fire yourself!”
Then she heard a few indulgent chuckles behind her, her cheeks getting even hotter, and she buried her head in the
blanket.

Jackson didn’t look at her again, then picked up his phone from the bedside table and walked into the bathroom.
He opened the shower head with one hand and opened his phone to check his conversation with Shania with the other.
Inside was still blank, all the messages Jackson sent were “met with silence”.
He furrowed his brows slightly, feeling a sudden annoyance rising in his heart for no reason.
They were married for five years, so he knew her pretty well.
Knowing Shania’s personality, she loved him so much, she definitely couldn’t resist and would come looking for him.
If Shania came to him, he could tell her the whole truth so she could wait a little longer. After he got tired of Katherine, he would go with Shania to cancel the divorce agreement.
Reality, however, gave him a hard slap in the face.
Shania didn’t even reach out to him, and she left his messages on read.
Jackson furrowed his brows, then dialed Shania’s number.
He was planning to ask her what she meant, but the phone he dialed kept ringing with no answer.
Could it be that she was really upset about the divorce and that’s why she wouldn’t answer his calls?
Jackson thought to himself, “With that in mind, his previously gloomy mood vanished, and a smile unconsciously
appeared on his lips.”
In that case, he just needed to sweet talk her.
After all, she loved him so much, how could she bear to let him go to someone else?
For the next few days, Jackson temporarily put all his thoughts on Katherine.
Originally Katherine didn’t feel very secure, but then Jackson suddenly became very warm towards her.
He even kept himself by her side all the time, never wanting to be apart from her for a moment.
Katherine thought their relationship was back on track and felt ecstatic when Jackson proposed, so she said yes without really thinking.
