Chapter 10
Years of genuine love had raised nothing but an ungrateful snake.
I didn’t say a word and walked out of that path.
There were still spots of blood on the ground where Willow had been injured-she’d really done a number on herself.
I headed toward the school gate.
All along the way, people pointed and whispered about me.
“Oh my God, I actually believed that Willow was just bitter toward the rich and apologized to Aria-I’m such an idiot!”
“How can someone as pretty as Aria be so vicious?!”
“Think about it-if Aria hadn’t driven her crazy, why would Willow jump off that balcony? What normal person would risk jumping? If she’d been permanently disabled, that would’ve ruined her whole life! Would you bet your future on framing someone?”
‘Aria Sinclair! Get out of our school! Get out!”
The police arrived quickly, and I ran into them just as I reached the school gate.
Iyanked off the button from my chest-a tiny camera I’d prepared for protection after my rebirth.
I handed it to the police:
Willow Cellin stabbed herself. This has nothing to do with me.”
Then I couldn’t take it anymore and collapsed.
When I opened my eyes again, I found myself at home with the lights hurting my eyes.
I forced myself to sit up and realized it was already the middle of the night.
I quickly found Marcus to ask about the situation.
He told me the police had used my video to prove my innocence.
Willow’s behavior-stabbing herself to frame a classmate-seriously threatened the safety of the entire school.
Jaxon’s actions were equally despicable, knowing the truth but lying to cover for her.
Both of them had been expelled from school.
Hearing this, I finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Looking back at everything that had happened since my rebirth-from Willow jumping off the balcony without hesitation, to her taking out loans to pay for Jaxon, to finally stabbing herself just to frame me-I was almost certain that she had been reborn too.
From her perspective, she probably thought that if she could just gain the sympathy of teachers and classmates, making everyone believe I was a power-abusing villain, she could win Jaxon’s affection and repeat what happened in my past life-using my trust in Jaxon and his knowledge of me to sabotage my family’s company.
She’d get massive compensation from our competitors and reach the peak of her life.
But she never imagined that I had been reborn too.
So, she never could have imagined that I no longer gave a damn about Jaxon-whether he lived or died was none of my business.
Without my feeling for him, Jaxon had nothing and no ability to help her deal with me.
After being expelled, Willow refused to leave campus.
Chapter 10
Even after security dragged her out, she just waited outside the school gates, refusing to move an inch.
I knew clearly-she was waiting for me.
So I had twenty bodyguards in plain clothes blend into the crowd to protect me, then went to find her.
