Seeing Wendy’s face practically glowing with excitement, Sharon couldn’t help but ask, “What’s the good news?”
“Sharon, you’ve gone viral!” Wendy nearly shouted, thrusting her phone into Sharon’s hands. “Remember when you went with Matty to that competition? Someone-bless their kind soul-streamed a video of you playing the violin online!
“You’re blowing up! You’ve almost hit ten million followers! I even heard the video’s making the rounds internationally!”
Wendy’s voice rose with growing exhilaration. “Sharon, didn’t you and John plan to do a concert tour? This is the perfect opportunity to ride the wave-it’s the best momentum for your comeback!”
Wendy, who had once sworn she’d become a top-tier agent and launch a true global star with sheer talent, didn’t like to admit it –but even she had to face the truth: in this day and age, traffic was king.
No matter how talented you were, if no one was watching, it didn’t matter.
And to get an audience, people had to know you existed.
Now, in this fast-paced, attention-deficit era, talent wasn’t the first thing people looked for. Capital could create the illusion of brilliance in the shortest time. She asked, “Did Xavier do this?”

Sharon understood. Times had changed. If she wanted to accomplish anything now, she couldn’t afford to be invisible.
It had been five years since she last touched a violin. Getting back into it wouldn’t be easy.

Wendy had a sharper mind for management and promotion than Sharon did. Sharon nodded in agreement. 1
