- 12.
Soon it was the day of Wendy and
Zimmerman’s wedding.
Zimmerman nearly cried at the wedding.
“Wendy, the luckiest thing in my life is
meeting you.
“You’re my goddess. I promise I’ll be loyal.
Don’t look at other guys.”
I couldn’t believe Zimmerman had a sensitive
side.
He yelled at me before.
Wendy nodded.
My parents clapped.
They knew we switched.
What could they do?
They couldn’t expose us.
My parents scolded us after the wedding.
Wendy was ashamed and cried.
I
I grabbed my dad’s hand. “Isn’t this good?
Zimmerman likes Wendy. I’m not gentle. If we
got married, we would hate each other.”
Mom wiped away her tears. “What if the
Sterling’s find out?”
Sterling and Zimmerman walked in.
“I knew about the switching. Don’t worry, I
won’t do anything.” Sterling held my hand in
front of me.
My heart started racing.
Sterling has been on my side since we got
married.
I was falling for him.
Zimmerman hugged Wendy.
“I don’t care. I only care about my wife.”
My parents were speechless.
