MARRIED BILLIONAIRE 6

MARRIED BILLIONAIRE 6

Chapter 6

Thorne smiled and patted my head, “You’re still as impatient as when you were little. We’ll get married after you’ve fully recovered.”

“My parents have already prepared the wedding. You don’t need to worry.”

So, over the next three months, I recovered under Thorne’s careful care before he let me leave the hospital.

Even with all the treatments, I couldn’t completely avoid burn scars.

Seeing me staring blankly at the scars, Thorne gently comforted me: “Don’t worry, I found the most authoritative scar removal specialist for you. With gradual treatment, there won’t be any scars left.”

But I shook my head.

“I want to keep them.

Keeping the scars would help me remember the harm Damien, Lana, and Lila had caused me.

I looked up and asked Thorne, “Will you mind?”

Thorne bent down and gently kissed one of the scars.

“Of course not.”

“Crash!”

Damien angrily swept the coffee cup off the table, ceramic shattering on the floor.

“What did you say? Elara’s mother is dead?”

A bodyguard stepped forward, handing Damien the death certificate, “Yes, sir, the madam’s mother passed away a month ago. The madam personally arranged the funeral.”

Damien couldn’t believe it, checking the death certificate over and over again, “How is that possible? Why don’t I know anything? Why didn’t Elara tell me?”

The bodyguard looked up at Damien, hesitating before saying: “Sir… the day the madam’s mother died, you were celebrating Miss Lana and Miss Lila’s birthday.”

“Later Miss Lana was burned by fireworks, and you were busy taking her to the hospital and calling in an emergency specialist

team.”

“The madam’s mother died because she didn’t receive timely treatment.”

“We checked the madam’s call and outgoing records. She tried calling you many times, but you hung up on her.”

Damien’s knees went weak for a moment, nearly collapsing.

The bodyguard caught him in time and continued: “The madam’s mother had been relying on the special medication developed by

our company to sustain her life all these years. But since you approved giving the special medication to Miss Lana and Miss Lila’s father first, the madam’s mother hadn’t received the medication to alleviate her condition for nearly half a year.”

Hearing this, Damien’s heart raced.

His voice trembled, “Still no news of Elara?”

The bodyguard replied: “We’ve intensified the search, but so far, there’s no trace of the madam.”

“The only unusual report is that a helicopter was spotted near the manor on the night of the fire. It was just late at night, and we were focused on firefighting, so no one paid much attention to it.”

Just then, Lana and Lila strutted in with luxury shopping bags hanging from their arms, looking like they were starring in a glamorous fashion ad.

They clicked their high heels, swaying their hips as they walked to Damien’s side.

Then they sat on his left and right respectively, pressing close to him.

“Damien, what’s wrong with you? How could you leave us two abroad and come back first by yourself? Do you know how scared we were?”

“We encountered many troubles on our way back home. The only motivation that kept us going was knowing we’d see you again.”

Damien looked coldly at the luxury goods they’d bought.

Then he coldly signed a check and threw it in their faces, “Get out.”

They were stunned, looking at Damien in shock.

“Damien, what do you mean?”

Looking at their two identical faces, Damien only felt annoyed.

His thoughts drifted back to me.

Now his heart was filled only with me, missing me deeply.

Wanting to see my smile.

Wanting to see me playing with the little dog in the manor.

Then Damien suddenly remembered-where was that dog?

Oh, right.

Lana and Lila ate the poor thing.
