Chapter 19
Ethan’s expression went from confusion to disbelief to finally settling into emptiness.
Sophia shouted, “We’re over, Ethan. I want to leave this place!”
But he ignored Sophia’s warning, walking toward her step by step until he gripped her trembling hand.
The next moment, Ethan forcefully pressed the shard into his own chest. “Sophia, unless you kill me, I will never let you
leave in this lifetime!”
Blood dripped from the porcelain piece onto the floor, and Sophia released her grip in panic.
Ethan’s lips curved into a mad smile. He discarded the shard and carried her toward the bedroom.
In just a few steps, his shirt was soaked with blood, but he paid no attention.
He placed Sophia on the bed and knelt in front of her, cleaning her leg wound.
After cleaning the blood, he held Sophia’s bare calf and lowered his head as if to kiss it.
But Sophia slapped him across the face. “Get away! Don’t touch me!”
Ethan’s eyes darkened instantly.
He was her husband, yet she wouldn’t let him touch her and even wanted to leave him!
Ethan strode over regardless of Sophia’s resistance, pinned her waist, and pressed her onto the bed.
She screamed, “Get off! Ethan, let me go! Don’t touch me!!”
Sophia struggled desperately, trying to push him away, but he caught her hands and pinned them above her head.
Just as he was about to kiss her, she turned her head away and began retching reflexively.
The images of him with Isabella in the hospital room and backstage at the auction kept flashing through her mind.
It was absolutely disgusting!
Ethan finally came to his senses. His face was terribly pale, even his fingertips trembling slightly.
He spoke self-deceptively, “Sophia, I’m sorry. Are you feeling unwell somewhere? Should I call a doctor?”
He reached out to touch her cheek.
Sophia turned away, speaking coldly, “Are you trying to recreate what you and Isabella did backstage at the auction?”
That light sentence made Ethan freeze in place before he met her disgusted gaze and, unable to bear it any longer, fled
the room.
The next day, after breakfast, Ethan brought in a man in a white coat.
Sophia felt an ominous premonition for some reason. “My wounds are healed. Get out!”

But Ethan didn’t leave.
He smiled. “Sophia, he’s the best psychiatrist. After hypnosis, you’ll forget those irrelevant people and things, and you’ll become the Sophia who loved me deeply again.”
Seeing his hopeful expression, Sophia felt nauseated. “Get out! I don’t want to be hypnotized! Don’t touch mer
She tried to escape but was held down by Ethan and tied to the bed.
He touched her face, his eyes full of obsession and madness. “Don’t be afraid, Sophia. I’ll stay with you. Once you forget everything, we can go back to how things were.”
Sophia struggled desperately but was firmly restrained.
She could only watch helplessly as the doctor approached step by step…
