Chapter 17!!
Soles’s POVR
The engagement party had already started. The guests greeted and mingled with each other in the beautiful hall;
However, Silas stood just outside the hall, gritting his teeth with his fists clenched tightly. Music played from inside the hall, and he hated it because it meant that it was real.
He took a deep breath, straightened his jacket, and stepped in.
His eyes scanned the crowd quickly as he shoved through the crowd without slowing down.
He moved towards the center of the room, scanning every face, ignoring the attention that he was drawing from his frantic behaviour. Finally, he saw Willow. His heart skipped a beat.l
She was speaking softly to a few pack elders. She looked very different. She looked so calm, happy, and healthy. Her eyes were full of at confidence that he hadn’t seen in a long time.
And she was smiling.
He couldn’t remember that last time he saw her smiling genuinely like that. That smile made something inside him snap.
He started walking toward her faster. He needed to talk to her, to tell her that he loved her, so that she would be even more happier. Someone stepped in front of him
A tall, broad man dressed in a black tuxedo. He had a calm expression on his face, but his eyes Silas almost slammed into him.”
were filled with warning
1 don’t remember inviting you, Alpha Silas,” the man said. His tone was sharp and filled with pure distaste.
Silas stepped back slightly, taken off guard, “Who the hell are you?”
The man didn’t move. He stood firmly in front of him like a wall!
“Move out of my way,” Silas snapped. This doesn’t concern you. I’m here for my wife.“3
The man raised an eyebrow, and his lips twitched slightly in amusement “Which wife?”
Silas’s eyes narrowed at the man’s expression. “Willow”
The man’s eyes hardened. “That’s my fiancée.”
Silas froze. What?!
The man continued, his eyes darkening. “And from what I’ve been told, she’s no longer your wife. She signed the divorce papers. You left her to bleed out.”
Silas’s fists clenched. “Watch your mouth.!!
“No,” the man said calmly, but dangerously. “You watch yours, and watch your step, Alpha Silas. This is Blood Moon territory. You’re not a guest because I didn’t invite you. So if you’re not careful, I’ll throw you out myself.”
Silas growled, stepping closer. “You think you can keep her from me? She belongs to me, not you!“?
“She doesn’t belong to anyone,” the man replied. “She’s a person of her own, and she has made her decision. Respect it and walk away.” “I need to talk to her,” Silas insisted. “One minute. That’s all.”
“No”
Slas clenched his jaw tightly
Alastair spoke again, “You don’t even deserve to be near her after everything you’ve done. You killed her children. You cheated on her. You humiliated her publicly and privately. You stripped her of everything, and now you think you have the right to stop her from moving on?” Silas opened his mouth, but no words came
Alastair leaned forward slightly. “You’re a disgrace, Silas
Silas’s eyes flared with fury, and he growled. “She loves me–7
Alastair’s expression didn’t change as he cut in “She loved you, but you’ve ruined that already. Don’t deceive yourself.“!
Silas’s jaw twitched. His eyes glanced past the man to Willow
He wouldn’t accept deleat so easily. Noll
He raised his voice suddenly. “Willow!”
A few heads turned toward him.X
The man in front of him didn’t move. “If I were you, I would stop shouting. Don’t make things worse for yourself.”
“Get out of my way!” Silas shouted again. “Willow!“)
This time, the room grew quiet. Conversations stopped, and people stared, Willow turned slowly and her eyes met his eyes from across the room!
Silos felt like the floor disappeared from under him, and his heart stopped.
Willow looked so strong and steady. Her gaze didn’t shake. There was no form of emotion in her eyes as she stared at him.li
“Willow…” Silas took a step forward, Alastair tried to stop him, but Willow shook her head at him silently telling him to let her handle it.
“I don’t remember inviting you, Alpha Silas.” She said calmly as she approached them.
