Mr. Ex 18

Chapter 18

After a rustle of the blanket, Raelynn, feeling insecure, burrowed into Joshua’s arms in the direction of warmth, sniff- ing the comforting cold fragrance on him and fell into a deep sleep.

Unconsciously, she murmured, “So noisy, why aren’t you asleep yet…”

Joshua smirked, pulled her into his arms, and gently patted her back to soothe her to sleep.

“Go to sleep, I won’t disturb you anymore.”

When I checked my phone again, I found that the call had been disconnected at some point.

Benjamin gripped the phone tightly, squeezing it so hard that it almost broke.

Charlie’s eyes were glaring red, and he felt extremely unwilling in his heart.

Adam’s eyes drooped slightly, and he was also calculating something in his mind.

The next day, the three of them left the hospital early without making any plans.

Before the family banquet started, Raelynn appeared in front of everyone holding Joshua’s hand.

Wearing a delicate pink dress, she stood next to a man with a commanding presence, complementing each other per- fectly.

The guests who came to the Norster family’s dinner party all looked at her with a hint of awe.

Completely different from the indifference towards her in the past.

Raelynn stood here, representing her identity, and no one dared to gossip about her as freely as before.

She saw through the true faces of these people, naturally not thinking of exposing them, just walking towards the main hall with Joshua.

As he passed by the garden, Joshua suddenly stopped in his tracks.

“Shall I take you to see a good show today?”

His words were meaningful, but he didn’t have a specific meaning to convey.

“It seems like our three nephews haven’t received the punishment they deserve for what they did.”

“Hmm, Raelynn listened quietly, feeling very touched.”

He was still the first one to stand firmly by her side, believing in her and speaking up for her.

Her parents never cared whether she was wronged or not, they only hoped that she could win the hearts of the three

brothers of the Norster family and bring about this marriage.

Moreover, they are busy all year round and often travel outside. Even if they know she has been wronged, they will only casually comfort her and then continue to focus on their careers.

Henry and Maria lived in seclusion at the manor all year round, paying no attention to worldly affairs. They only re- turned to the Norster family estate when there were major family matters to attend to.

Even though they loved her, they could never stand up for her every time.

Landyn and Carley, not to mention, were only concerned about their three children.

So, all along, Raelynn could only rely on herself.

She suddenly looked up at Joshua, unconsciously clutching his sleeve, and asked, “Joshua, can I try to rely on you?”

“Of course, Joshua answered without hesitation, a slight smile playing at the corner of his lips.”

“As long as you were my wife, I was always your support.’

་་

Speaking, they walked to the edge of the artificial lake in the garden, and he pulled her to sit down on the bench.

Looking at the clear lake water, Raelynn felt a little nervous.

The psychological shadow left after the last time she fell into the water was so great that even now, when she sees an artificial lake, she still feels a little scared.

Joshua comfortingly held her hand tightly, “Don’t be afraid, I’m here and I won’t let you get into any danger.”

At this time, Adam, Benjamin, and Charlie were gradually approaching the artificial lake, with a girl following be- hind them.

The girl was Alice.

Alice cried with red eyes, tears streaming down her face, wearing high heels and walking unsteadily on the cobble- stone road, but still gritting her teeth and following behind them.

“Adam, Benjamin, Charlie, canceling the engagement is not up to me to decide, and besides, I really like… Do you guys really hate me that much?”
