Chapter 26
After opening one app, then a second, a third…[]
Amelia calmly scrolled through her phone, checking one platform after another. Finally, she searched online and found the song already had its own Wikipedia page.
The same three lines everywhere: all credited to Vivian Hope.[]
Even asking AI returned the same answer.
Seeing this, Amelia set down her phone and laughed softly.
Vivian really had some nerve.[]
If Vivian had recently discussed this with Cavendish Entertainment, Louie–who was particularly invested in this situation–would definitely know, which meant Amelia would know too.
But there had been no communication.
Given Louie’s explosive temper and strong sense of justice, he never would have agreed to this.
Was Vivian clueless? Did she not take Cavendish Entertainment seriously? Did she think Nathan could solve everything? Or did she figure since she
only had six months left, nothing mattered anymore?[]
Just then, she heard soft sobbing nearby.
Amelia looked over to see Sunny wiping away tears.[]
Noticing Amelia watching her, Sunny immediately dried her eyes. “Sorry, Elena. That song was just so moving. I’m sorry…“[]
“I shouldn’t be praising the competition.“[]
“Wait, no–Vivian’s a judge, not a contestant…“[]
Poor Sunny was crying and confused.[]
Amelia found her adorable and handed her tissues. “It’s not your fault. I thought the song was beautiful too.”
After all, she’d written it herself.[]
“Sniff…” Sunny finally relaxed.[]
Soon, Vivian finished her performance, her tear–streaked face appearing on the live broadcast with heartbreaking, fragile beauty.[]
The camera then cut to Nathan in the audience.[]
He had a prime seat–excellent view but well–hidden from most viewers. Though there had been rumors about Nathan attending, most audience members hadn’t actually seen him.[]
But the broadcast equipment clearly captured him for all to see. The camera even lingered on Nathan specifically.[]
Nathan looked typically calm in his perfectly tailored Italian suit, his tall frame elegant even seated. Without any embellishment, you could feel the refined power radiating from him.]
His hands rested casually on the armrests, but sharp–eyed viewers noticed his eyes seemed slightly red–whether from the lighting or emotion.[]
The live audience screamed. The chat exploded.[]
“OMG it’s Nathan Harrison!”
Chapter 26
“He looks extra handsome tonight!“]
“Nathan never attends these events–breaking his own rules for Vivian! If that’s not love, what is?“[]
“His eyes are red! He’s emotional over Vivian’s performance.“]
“I’m shipping this so hard!!!“]
“Amelia, come take your beating!“[]
…D
Vivian bowed gracefully to the audience, wiping tears from her eyes with delicate beauty.[]
“Thank you,” she said softly. “Thank you for loving this song, and thank you to that… special person.“]
She smiled. “Even though my life is ending, even though there will be pain, I want to say–with you here, I’m not afraid of any cruelty or persecution.“[]
As Vivian finished speaking, the lights came up.]
“So moving! That song was incredible!” The host emerged wiping his eyes. “Vivian, can you tell us who that special person is?“]
Vivian smiled without responding, but the camera cut back to Nathan.
The implication was clear.[]
After more small talk, Vivian left the stage, and the contestants began their performances.[]
As the first singer was finishing, Amelia was called to the staging area.[]
Walking through the backstage corridor, she encountered Vivian returning from the audience section where she’d been talking to Nathan.[]
They were about to pass each other.
“Elena.” Vivian called out.]
Amelia paused, looking at Vivian.]
“Did you like it?” Vivian asked with a smile. “My performance?“]
Amelia smiled slightly. “The song was beautiful.“]
Vivian’s smile deepened. “I think that performance proved my talent to you.“[]
Amelia said nothing.
“Tonight we’ll form teams,” Vivian continued. “Would you like to join mine?“]
Tonight was the first ‘Voice of Heaven‘ broadcast–judge and contestant introductions plus team formation. Three judges, four contestants each, with mutual selection.
“I haven’t even performed yet and you’re asking me this,” Amelia found it even more ironic. “Aren’t you afraid I’ll be terrible and drag you down?“[]
“I think you’ll choose me, because we have a common enemy.” Vivian smiled and stepped closer.
She leaned in and whispered in Amelia’s ear: “Elena, do you know why you can’t officially become Louie’s girlfriend?“[]
Amelia raised an eyebrow, confused. What was Vivian talking about? Her? Louie’s girlfriend?[]
Satisfied with the masked woman’s reaction, Vivian continued: “Because someone’s blocking your path.“[]
“Who?”
Vivian’s eyes gleamed as she parted her lips: “Amelia. Amelia Visconti is blocking your path.“[]

Chapter 26
Amelia stared at Vivian strangely.[]
Vivian straightened up. “If you don’t believe me, that’s fine. You’ll learn I’m telling the absolute truth.“]
Her gaze dropped to Amelia’s stomach. “Losing a child must feel terrible.“[]
Then Vivian walked away without another word.[]
The staff at the other end of the corridor were calling urgently. Amelia hurried over without lingering.
After walking a few steps, Vivian looked back at the departing figure with satisfaction.[]
She’d done this deliberately–timing this revelation for right before “Elena’s” performance had two benefits:[]
First, disrupting “Elena’s” mental state to cause a poor performance. Since this masked woman had missed rehearsals, Vivian didn’t know her skill level and hadn’t bothered having her “coached” on the rules.[]
Today was Vivian’s main stage–she wanted to be the absolute best!
Second, planting hatred for Amelia in “Elena’s” heart. After having a miscarriage for Louie without getting official girlfriend status, didn’t “Elena” feel resentment and hatred?
If there was hate, it should be directed at Amelia.]]
She wanted to turn this masked woman into a weapon aimed at Amelia![]
The more Vivian thought about it, the more perfect her plan seemed. Satisfied, she headed backstage.
Reaching the corridor entrance, Amelia paused and glanced back at Vivian’s retreating figure.[]
She said nothing.
Meanwhile, in a small room, two people listened to the recording equipment labeled “Staff Corridor,” their eyes wide.[]
“Should we report this?” one asked.[]
