Chapter 54
The second people started coming out of the mansion, they got instantly swarmed.
Camera flashes everywhere, people shoving and pushing, total madness.
“Excuse me, what went down inside?”
“What happened in there? We could hear all the cheering from out here, plus hose drone lanterns–what was that about?”
“Can you tell us…”
Reporters mobbed everyone coming out, desperate for the inside scoop.
Most people emerged looking shell–shocked. They’d expected some media attention–that was normal–but not this absolute circus!
The whole area outside was packed with every type of person imaginable, even dogs!
“Woof woof!”
One dog noticed someone staring and went ballistic.
“Click click!”
Strobing camera flashes lit up the night like Times Square.
This was the chaos Amelia and Louie walked into.
Amelia’s eyes went huge behind her mask.
Before she could process it, a horde of reporters.descended, some dragging dogs along.
“Woof woof!”
The dog caught Amelia’s stare and barked twice.
“That’s Elena!”
“Elena, what the hell happened inside?”
“Mr. Cavendish, what did your company’s charity gala do to cause this shitstorm?”
The mob closed in as Louie scowled and shoved people back, protecting Amelia
Louie grabbed his phone, screaming for backup.
Actually, when the chaos had erupted inside, they’d already called in extra security from nearby locations.
But everyone was stuck in gridlock.
This hillside mansion was completely surrounded.
Louie stared at the ocean of people and nearly had an aneurysin.
“Get a fucking helicopter here! You hear me?! Fly one in right now–the third oor garden can handle it Louie yelled into his phone while shielding Amelia.
He knew once word spread about the no limit bid and Elena vs Nathan showdown they’d be totally fucked.

Chapter 54
Right then, someone started shrieking-
“Got the story! Nathan went no limit for Vivian!”
“Plus Elena and Nathan went head to head! Million dollar tanzanite sold for 25 million!”
“Quick, Elena’s right here! Come get her!”
More people charged toward Amelia like rabid animals.
Amelia and Louie tried backing toward the mansion.
Too late–blocked from behind too. People and dogs everywhere.
“Woof woof woof!”
While Louie was losing his shit-
“Nathan’s coming out! He’s got Vivian!”
“Over there, move your asses!”
“Block the entrance, don’t let them escape!”
The entire mob rushed toward Nathan and Vivian.
People still surrounding Amelia bitched: “Fuck, I’m stuck with Elena instead of Nathan!”
Louie was like: “If you want him, go over there! Don’t blame us!”
Complete pandemonium.
“HOOOONK–HOOOONK–HOOOONK-”
The mansion blared massive horns trying to restore order.
Absolutely useless.
This was a no–limit bid! Nathan went nuclear for Vivian! Plus that “Voice of Heaven” chick Elena was going toe–to–toe with him!
What kind of epic drama was this?!
But wait, wasn’t Elena standing with Louie?
Someone immediately pounced: “Elena, why did you challenge Nathan today? Are you into him? What’s that make Mr. Cavendish?”
Louie went nuclear. What did that make him? Like he was some side character
Louie Cavendish had never been disrespected like this!
“If you can’t ask decent questions, shut the fuck up! Get lost!” Louie exploded.
But nobody gave two shits about him.
Let him rage.
Every camera, mic, and flash was trained on Amelia.
Amelia knew she wasn’t getting out without talking.
Chapter 54
So she said: “I bid against Mr. Harrison because I wanted that piece. That’s it.
Nobody was buying it.
Louie just roared: “Believe it or fucking don’t!”
“Elena only saw Nathan from across the room at ‘Voice of Ileaven‘ a few days ago. That’s literally it–no other contact since then. How can you idiots make shit up?!”
Someone fired back: “Hit a nerve, Mr. Cavendish?”
Jesus Christ!
Louie wanted to deck someone.
While chaos raged here, on the other side, at the center of an even bigger mob Nathan radiated pure ice–cold “back the fuck off” energy. His status and power kept the crowd from getting too close, but barely.
Nathan positioned himself protectively in front of Vivian.
“Mr. Harrison, we heard you went no–limit for Vivian and battled Elena, winning for 25 million. True or false?”
“Mr. Harrison, was this no–limit about defending your woman?”
“Mr. Harrison, bringing Vivian so publicly–are you going official?”
“Mr. Harrison, does this mean you’re ready to divorce Amelia?”
Question after question as Nathan’s jaw tightened.
Nathan stayed silent, but Vivian sure as hell wasn’t wasting this golden moment.
This was exactly why she’d fought to attend this gala!
“Nathan, let me handle this,” Vivian said with fake consideration, glancing at Nathan before stepping forward.
Every light and camera swung to Vivian instantly.
“Everyone.” Vivian’s smile was perfect–graceful with just the right touch of fragility.
“Nathan and I came tonight to show love for sick children.”
.
“As for being public or private,” she said, meeting each camera with a soft laugh, “when Nathan shows up anywhere, private becomes public. No point obsessing over that.”
“About the tanzanite–yes, I wanted it initially. Valued at one million, Nathan went no–limit and paid 25 million, really just supporting charity. Don’t read into it.”
“I begged Nathan to come with me to raise awareness for sick kids. Nothing else. Please don’t speculate.”
She smiled weakly: “I’m dying anyway–just trying to do some good with whatever time I have left.”
“As for Elena, we just both liked the same stone. Please don’t pit us against each other.”
Vivian’s performance was flawless. She even bowed gracefully.
But as she straightened up, her body suddenly went limp and she collapsed.
