Chapter 8
When I went out, I saw Christian wearing my favorite suit, holding flowers, and smiling gently at me.
“Renee, I have reflected on it, and that day it was my attitude that was problematic. I should not have laid hands on you
and hurt your feelings.”
“I wasn’t what you thought about Vanessa, I only see her as a friend now. If you’re not happy in the future, I won’t meet her
anymore.”
I stared at Christian fixedly, not understanding what kind of trouble he was causing again.
Anyone with eyes could see how much he cared about Vanessa.
Now that the real protagonist has returned and the substitute has stepped aside, isn’t it a good thing for him? Why does
he have to come to another country to cause trouble?
Seeing that I was silent, he took out another red velvet box and knelt in front of me.
“Renee, I know I caused you a lot of grievances in the past, trust me, I will make it up to you in the future.”
“Marry me, from now on, there will only be a place for you by my side.”
I looked at the opened ring box, inside of which a sparkling pink diamond shone brightly.
This scene was once the image I had dreamed of countless times.
Fortunately, he never had the heart to give.
I reached out my hand and closed the velvet box when a little starlight gathered in his eyes.
“Christian, I used to like you because I thought you were an honest and excellent person. But later on, I found out that you were not, you were just a skilled deceiver who spoke nothing but lies.”
“You had no bottom line, even when you played with your brother’s sister, you had no burden in your heart.”
“Why should I entrust my remaining life to someone like you?”
As I spoke, Christian’s face grew paler and paler.
He shook his head weakly, but couldn’t find any words to refute.
“I am getting married,” I continued to say.
He looked up at me with a “whoosh”, his eyes filled with disbelief.
“Although we spent a short time together, I was really satisfied with him. Not only does he look good, but he is also very gentlemanly, talkative, and most importantly, he is a person of high character.” “So, please do not disturb me anymore in
the future.”
“No.”

Christian threw away the flowers and the ring, grabbed my wrist with both hands, and knelt on both knees, refusing to let
“Renee, I was wrong before. I thought I couldn’t let go of Vanessa. But after you left, I realized that you are the most
important person to me.”
“You don’t know how I spent these past two days. I couldn’t eat or sleep, and I forced myself to stay up until midnight to
call your brother and confirm where you were. I was going crazy when I couldn’t find you.”
“Please, can you give me another chance? We were together for seven years, so many moments of intimacy, can you just forget it like that?”
I was amused by his words, “Christian, ask yourself honestly, during these seven years, even though I was by your side,
who were you thinking of in your heart? And when we were close, who did you treat me as?”
I tried hard to break his hand, and I felt more and more disgusted in my heart.
Two days before leaving, while packing my things, I realized that there were hardly any clothes, jewelry, or bags that I
liked.
Especially those clothes that were bought together with Christian, almost all of them were Vanessa’s style.
Where is there any resemblance between me and Vanessa?
It’s just that appearance accounts for seventy-five percent, and Christian’s dressing made it even more similar.
Finally, I pried open his hand, but due to the excessive inertia, I took several steps back and almost fell.
A big hand behind me firmly held me up and then encircled my shoulders.
I turned around and saw Seamus’s icy side face.
“When did you come?”
When he turned towards me, Seamus had a faint smile on his face.
“The guy stood here holding flowers.”
I was surprised and felt a little guilty, “So you saw everything?”
“Um.”
Christian saw the affectionate manner between my parents and jumped up from the ground with red eyes to question me.
“Who was he?”
Seamus seemed to deliberately provoke him, as the hand that was resting on my shoulder slowly moved down, hooking
around my waist.
“Her… fiancé!”
“Bullshit, take your hands off. Renee, he was lying, right? You brought him here to provoke me, didn’t you?”

“Heh, your face is really big.”
My brother’s voice suddenly came from behind, and Christian couldn’t help but take a step back.
Seamus and I turned around at the same time, only to see my brother walking towards us with a basebal
