Chapter 9
I wanted to intervene, but Seamus hooked his arm around my waist and pulled me aside. “What are you doing? My brother
will kill someone.”
Seamus smirked and said, “Don’t worry, I was watching over him. He wouldn’t have killed anyone.”
He said, and took out his phone to make a call, “At the entrance of the Werner’s house, arrange an ambulance to come
over and be on standby.”
I was lost for words.
Christian frowned and shifted his gaze from my brother back to me.
“Renee, didn’t we break up? Our relationship hasn’t ended yet, you can’t marry someone else. Even if he is your fiancé, you
should call off the wedding.”
My brother sneered and swung the baseball bat without hesitation, aiming at Christian’s leg.
Christian let out a scream and collapsed onto the ground.
“I stood outside the labor union’s gate for a while, listening. It’s one thing to deceive my sister, but to also dare to hit her. Christian, I don’t consider you as my brother anymore.”
With that, another baseball bat swung down.
Christian grunted, but still looked at me and crawled towards me.
“Enough, brother, stop it.”
My brother’s swing with the third bat came to a halt in mid-air.
Christian smiled and said, “See, you still cared about me, you still couldn’t let go of me, Renee.”
I pulled Seamus’s hand away and walked over to Christian, squatting down in front of him. I slapped his smiling face hard.
“This slap is to pay you back. We are even now.”
“As for what you said about me not mentioning breaking up, it’s because I didn’t think it was necessary. You have never acknowledged me as your girlfriend, so how can we talk about breaking up?”
“I’ll say it again, Christian, I don’t like you anymore, don’t come and disturb me anymore.”
After speaking, I pulled my brother back.
My brother refused to leave, and I got so angry that I stomped my feet, saying, “Are you willing to bear the legal
consequences for such a person?”
My brother gritted his teeth and threw the baseball bat, then crouched down and straddled Christian, delivering several
hard punches to his face.
After my brother finished fighting, Seamus waved his hand towards the ambulance in the distance, and four medical

personnel came over and lifted the person onto it.
We were about to go back to the house when, unexpectedly, Christian suddenly shouted at Seamus.
“I slept with her for seven years. Don’t you feel disgusted to marry her?”
Seamus and my brother turned around at the same time. I grabbed my brother, but I didn’t expect Seamus.
He stepped on Christian’s broken leg with one foot and ruthlessly ground it.
“You embarrassed us men! Don’t worry, I will make sure you watch her live a happy life that will make you green with envy
for the rest of your life.”
“Carried away.”
After the people were carried away, Seamus walked over and held my hand.
“Don’t go back, I’ll take you shopping.”
I blinked my eyes, such a big thing happened, he didn’t ask, nor did he say anything else, he just wanted to take me
shopping.
“Why?” I couldn’t help but ask.
He turned around and looked at me. “My mom said that when women are in a bad mood, shopping can help relieve it.”
My brother suddenly rushed over and said, “I’m not in a good mood either, take me shopping.”
Seamus kicked him away with one foot and took me away with him.
On the way, I wanted to explain this matter to him, but he said, “The past is the past, I don’t want to see you reopen old
wounds. Don’t worry, I don’t care about those things.”
“Compared to those, I care more about you saying that my ‘character is valuable’. I love to hear it, please praise me more!”
I was amused by him. When we went back, the things we bought filled up the back seat except for the trunk.
My brother was extremely sour, holding our cat strangely and mysteriously.
The slight displeasure brought by Christian quickly vanished in laughter.
