Sean’s breath hitched, but he had already anticipated her question, so he quickly recovered. He nodded and didn’t hide anything.
“Aliana, I don’t know if this is right or not, but I feel like Aaron wouldn’t want to see you like this. If you choose someone you truly love, I will accept it, support it, and bless it. But at least, he should be the person you truly love.”
She looked at him, her eyes filled with inexplicable emotions, “Even if it’s not you?”
“Even if it wasn’t me.” he nodded.
“Perhaps I should thank you, but…” Aliana was really happy to see Aaron again. She no longer had any regrets about not being able to continue with Wayne, after all, he said they were not meant to

From the moment his heart became a part of someone else, Wayne would be the continuation of his life, but he would no longer be himself.
Being able to untie the knot, perhaps she did need to thank Sean, but in those four years entangled
with him, she still felt she had a clear conscience.
She didn’t owe him anything. She approached him with a purpose, but she never mistreated him.

“Sean, from now on, let’s pretend we never knew each other.”

She waved her hand, turned around and left. She hailed a taxi after leaving the hotel and quickly disappeared into the crowd.

crowd as the car started.
