My Marriage 10

My Marriage 10

Chapter 10

[Do you really think the Walpole Group will invest in the Borgia Company again?]

But my kindness was met with his cold mockery.

[Helena, even if you’re now emotionally unfaithful and have fallen for that pretty boy, you shouldn’t stir up trouble. Borgia Company is, after all, your hard work.]

[I used to think you were just jealous, but now I see you’re just malicious. As your husband, I advise you not to push things too far.]

The more I read, the angrier I got. I immediately turned off my phone and let Felix do whatever he

wanted.

After several months, I finally posted my first Instagram Moment.

“Mom, I’ll get everything back for you.”

The accompanying image was a photo of the Walpole Group building.

Gwen commented on my photos.

[Ms. Walpole, why are you so full of yourself? Even though you have the same surname, your ‘Walpole’ has nothing to do with the Walpole Group. What a shame!]

Felix tried to talk me out of it.

[Stop this nonsense. I’ve already signed a contract with the Walpole Group. Don’t bring shame tc the Borgia Company.]

I spent the entire day eliminating Jacques’s supporters and settling all the old scores from the past few years. I didn’t have time to pay attention to what was being said on Instagram Moments. When I saw these posts again, they were screenshots sent to me by the HR manager from Borgia Company.

“Ms. Walpole, you’re truly the heiress of the Walpole Group. Why don’t you take me in?”

I laughed lightly. “Sure, but the Walpole Group is different from the Borgia Company. You’ll have to settle for being a human resources assistant.”

The other party immediately sent a “deal done” emoji.

That night, the hashtag #The Walpole Group’s Eldest Daughter Returns had been trend on social media. The top ten trending topics were all about me.

Felix suddenly sent a series of messages.

[Are you really the eldest daughter of the Walpole Group?]

[So, I was a fool all along. I thought we were in love, but I was deceived by the person I trusted for fifteen years. Helena, you’re something else.]

After expressing his feelings, he began to demand angrily.

[So, the withdrawal of investment from the Walpole Group was your plan?]

I did indeed hide my true identity from him. That was because Jacques abandoned me and sent me to a small county thousands of miles away from Podilskyi. I was certain I would never be able to return to the Walpole Group, so whether he knew I was Helena Walpole of the Walpole Group was irrelevant.

As for the sudden withdrawal of funds from the Walpole Family, that was entirely my grandmother’s decision.

When my own child was being bullied, I wouldn’t let the bullies get away with it without a lesson. It was not my grandmother’s style.

I didn’t feel like explaining. Now that the divorce was imminent, I didn’t want to explain anymore.

I only replied with one sentence.

[The court hearing is tomorrow. Whether you come or not, I’m determined to divorce you.]

When the judge announced the divorce and struck the gavel, I finally ended my eight-year marriage to Felix. At the courthouse entrance, he blocked my path with a menacing gaze.

‘Helena, you’re so ruthless.”

| sneered at him, “Felix, you were the one who cheated during our marriage and you were the one who despised Irene because she was a girl. Now you call me ruthless? What right do you have?”

He tried to continue the argument, but I took a step back. My eyes stared sharply.

‘If

you dare take another step forward, I promise to make the Borgia Company disappear tomorrow. After all, I’m the president of the Walpole Group?”

He withdrew his suspended leg, his chest rising and falling rapidly. His eyes bulged, but he dared not take another step forward.

As I passed by him, my assistant sent a message and Felix’s phone rang at the same time.

My assistant: [Ms. Walpole, Mr. Merz forged an agreement with Borgia Company to sign an investment contract and now he’s fled with the donation.]

Felix’s phone also rang with the anxious voice of the finance department.
