“Why don’t they believe me? I really didn’t seduce my sister’s boyfriend…”
“Last night was New Year’s Eve. Everyone drank a lot of wine. When I woke up… he was lying next to me. My sister cried and asked why I stole her boyfriend. As my voice cracked into sobs, Jack’s brow furrowed deeply.
He turned to the livestream, eyeing Jesica’s expression on the screen, searching her face for even a flicker of guilt.
The mirror’s sudden crack earlier–that wasn’t just coincidence. Something strange was happening.
And if you listened carefully, really listened, I didn’t sound like someone who had done those things.
Jesica suddenly threw herself into mother’s arms and whimpered, “My legs hurt…”
Brother let out a cold scoff. “Sure, let her lie to ghosts with that voice. But we know exactly what

Dad snapped as well. “She’s nothing but a liar. Nearly poisoned me to death. And some people still believe her?”
The livestream chat flared up.
[That recording sounds so fake! So now we’re supposed to believe the whole family’s been wrong this whole time? No way.]
[She’s just trying to turn herself into the victim. Sickening.]
I sat there, my heart aching in silence. No one noticed the faint trickle of water–like tears- slipping down the mirror behind Jack.
He lifted the rabbit again and continued the playback.
“Today I went to the hospital to see my sister. But I found her handing a card to her boyfriend. She told him his acting was really good. So it was all a setup! She wanted to frame me! I confronted them right away.”
“Mom, Dad and my brother rushed over… Her boyfriend threw the card in my face and said I gave it to him, that I paid him to harass my sister. I cried and told them–they were both acting.”
“That my sister even threatened to jump off a building to make herself look innocent. But no one believed me. Mom and Dad sided with her. They kicked me out of the house. I don’t have a home anymore…”
Someone commented. [Just check who that card belongs to! Isn’t it obvious?!]

Her brother sneered. “We did. The card was in Anna’s name.”
[Then why’s she still pretending to be innocent? She’s disgusting.]
Jack remained silent. He lifted the rabbit once more.
“The class president is chasing me again to pay my tuition and dorm fees. I wanted to call my brother to borrow some money, but he called me a liar and a thief. But I never lied… I never stole anything…”
[Please, if you were really broke, how are you still living like this?]
Her brother laughed bitterly. “She didn’t steal? Then where did Mom’s jewelry go? And the money in Dad’s safe? If we weren’t trying to save face, we would’ve had her arrested already!”
Jack’s hand tightened around the mirror as he noticed another crack spreading.
“Today marks the third month since I dropped out of school. While working as a waitress at a hotel, I saw my whole family celebrating Christmas Eve with Jesica. My brother yelled at me for trying to put on a show and told me to get lost.”
“Dad said if it wasn’t for the Meyer Family name, he would’ve handed me over to the police. But I need the money for my treatment. Is it a crime to work a part–time job? The doctor said if I don’t get help soon, my stomach cancer will spread. I don’t want to die…”

Jack didn’t say a word. He pressed play once more.
