Chapter 10
Howard’s words had successfully provoked Samuel. He slammed Howard against the wall, reminiscent of a wild beast.
“You dare to threaten me?” Samuel had both hands fisted tightly in Howard’s collar. He looked as if he was one second away from driving his fist squarely into Howard’s face.
“I guess so,” Howard replied, still grinning. “You’re the one who forced my hand since you’re not willing to cooperate with me and sign the agreement.
“I would also like to remind you that we’re currently surrounded by a swarm of reporters. Are you sure you want to assault me right now?”
A terrifying expression crossed Samuel’s face. For a split second, he truly wanted to throw all caution to the wind and give Howard a good pummeling.
But he knew that he couldn’t. It was as Howard said—they were surrounded by reporters. The moment he attacked Howard, he would certainly make the headlines on the front page of the
news tomorrow.
They were living in the era of information. As the current president of Lloyd Corporation, his every move would affect the company’s stock market value.
The media were already coming to their own conclusions after the events that transpired tonight. They had already deduced that he had a pair of illegitimate children. If he attacked Howard now, the situation would just deteriorate even more.
Forcing himself to suppress his fury, Samuel finally loosened his grip on Howard.
“I want to see Julie,” he demanded, his expression dark. “I won’t sign the agreement until I
see her.”
“I already told you that Ms. Stamford doesn’t want to see you.” Howard rejected his request.” Why else would she spend so much money to have me process her divorce in her stead?”
Howard paused for a moment before he handed the divorce agreement to Samuel again. “I’ll give you two days. Sign the agreement and send it to my law firm. If I don’t see your signature on this document in my office in the next two days, I’m going to upload the videos online.
“Let me give you a friendly reminder, Mr. Lloyd. This video isn’t the only one that I have.”
Howard turned around and left after saying his piece. Samuel’s face was as dark as coal, but he was helpless to do anything to him.

Two days later, Samuel showed up at Howard’s office just as he wanted.
Samuel’s face was dark as he hurled the divorce agreement at Howard. “I’ve signed the papers. Delete the videos now.”
“Of course.” Howard agreed with a smile. “Ms. Stamford owns part of Lloyd Corporation, after all. If the company’s stock price plummets too much, her finances will be affected as well. I’m not in the business of harming the interests of my clients.”
Howard deleted the videos on his phone right in front of Samuel.
Samuel glared at him hatefully before he turned on his heel and left the office. However, his departure was just a front. He had ordered his subordinates to secretly observe every move that Howard made.
He knew that the moment Howard got his hands on the divorce agreement, he would certainly make contact with Julie. As long as he kept a close eye on Howard, Samuel would eventually discover Julie’s whereabouts.
Samuel didn’t sign the agreement because he was afraid that Howard would expose his misdeeds to the world. His real goal was to locate Julie.
“Listen. I want everyone to keep a close eye on Howard. Let me know immediately if he makes
a move.”
Samuel gave his orders to his subordinates via his headset. Among his men was a professional
hacker that Samuel had forked out a small fortune to hire. The moment Howard contacted
Julie, the hacker would be able to immediately track Julie’s location through their phone call.
As Samuel expected, Howard called Julie that very night.
