Not Every Goodbye Waits for a Return 24

Chapter 24

Everything should be over. Samuel knew that much. After all, he had ended it all with his own

two hands.

Cynthia had received the punishment she deserved. The two children had also been sent away.

He personally put an end to this farce. So, Julie should give him another chance.

Everyone deserved a second chance.

“Julie, I sent Luke and Anna away for your sake,” Samuel said. “Because to me, you’re the most important person in my life. If you don’t like them, I’m willing to give up my children! I love you! I’d give up everything for you!”

Julie found Samuel’s impassioned declaration laughable.

She shot him a cold look and said placidly, “Is that why you had my uterus secretly removed? Do you know that uterine fibroids don’t threaten a woman’s life? Do you even know that most women have them? This is what you call love? Samuel, your love is a nightmare!”

Samuel’s expression fell. His voice trembled. “Huh? Uterine fibroids aren’t life-threatening? How… How do you know that? Who told you?”

Julie didn’t answer. Her gaze only grew colder.

Seeing this, Samuel immediately backpedaled. “Forget it. It doesn’t matter anymore. We can adopt a child together if you want, Julie. I swear, I’ll devote myself to loving you and the child!

“You’re insane, Samuel.” Julie no longer wanted to speak to him and immediately called the

police.

Frankly, the call was unnecessary. The police officers were already on their way.

Samuel was fitted with an electronic ankle monitor the moment he set foot in Kaubreta

because of his criminal record.

The ankle monitor had already alerted the authorities the moment he came into contact with

Julie.

The police arrived quickly and once again handcuffed Samuel.

Samuel refused to give up even as he was being taken to the police car. He shouted, “I won’t give up, Julie! I’ll prove my love to you with my actions. I swear I’ve only ever loved you! Wait for me. I’ll win you back!”

He followed through on his promise.

Every time he got close to Julie, his ankle monitor would blare. Within ten minutes, the police would arrive and detain him again.

Yet, he refused to give up. He would immediately search for Julie every time he was released from prison.

Then, he spent a fortune hiring a hacker to disable the chip in his ankle monitor so he could approach her without detection.

Julie was sick of it. So, she finally made a decision.

She leaked the videos that Cynthia sent her.

“Do you get it now, Samuel? There’s no possibility of us getting back together,” Julie said coldly. “This isn’t an argument. This isn’t a rough patch. We’ve been long done. I don’t love you. In fact, I hate you. I don’t even hate Cynthia as much as I hate you. You broke my heart. Now, I want to see you ruined!”

With that, she posted the videos of Samuel and Cynthia’s affair online.

The moment they were uploaded, they sparked an uproar on the Internet.

After that infamous party, all sorts of rumors circulated within the circle. But the gossip remained under wraps and never reached the general public.

Although Samuel’s reputation had taken a hit, the Lloyd Corporation’s stock prices hadn’t been severely affected.

But now, videos of Samuel and Cynthia’s affair had surfaced online.

The general public was outraged and began to denounce Samuel.
