“I’m going to throw up, I can’t believe Samuel Lloyd turned out to be that kind of person!”
“He’s always putting on that loving husband act. Turns out he’s the biggest player of them all.
“What a joke! I remember he was voted as the perfect husband online. So, this is what the so- called perfect husband is like? Nice choice, Internet!”
Samuel had garnered a following with his devoted husband persona. His company had rapidly grown along with his reputation.
But the Internet was a double-edged sword, capable of both great success and devastating
failure.
Now that Samuel’s image as a loving husband had crumbled, the Lloyd Corporation’s stocks were in a free fall. The trend persisted for over a month, resulting in the company losing
billions of dollars.
Samuel suffered massive losses!
Meanwhile, Julie had finalized the divorce and settled the division of assets long before posting the videos.
So, her assets remained untouched.
That wasn’t all. Waves of support flooded in from across the Internet to stand with Julie’s
company.
Julie had initially only been granted a few small clothing companies in her divorce settlement. But her business began to thrive with online support.
“I support your glow-up, queen! Ditch the scumbag and start anew!”
“I heard that the jerk tricked her into getting her uterus removed. I feel so bad for her. We have to support her.”
“Stay strong! Don’t let that bastard define your life. The world is still a beautiful place!”
Reading all the encouragement online filled Julie’s heart with warmth.
Even though she hadn’t completely healed from the trauma of that marriage, she believed that time would eventually heal all wounds.

She had wealth, looks, and time. There was no reason she couldn’t move on.
Julie embarked on a trip around the world soon after.
Part of it was to stay out of Samuel’s reach. But it was also to use that journey to heal.
“Hey, Julie. I heard you were going on a trip around the world. Need a travel buddy?”
Just before her departure, Connor suddenly showed up at the airport. He flashed a smile at Julie, his eyes full of affection.
Julie couldn’t help but laugh. “If you’re just looking to travel, we can be travel buddies. But if you’re using this trip to pursue my affection, I’ll have to say no. I just came out of a failed marriage. My heart’s a mess right now. I won’t be thinking about love for a long time. Please understand.”
But her polite refusal didn’t deter Connor at all.
Connor walked up to Julie’s side and said firmly, “That’s okay, Julie. I’m willing to wait. I’ve already missed my chance with you once. I won’t let it happen again. I’m willing to try, no matter how long it takes. I genuinely want to travel too. But, no pressure. Just treat me as your travel buddy.”
Julie couldn’t talk him out of it. So, she agreed to travel with him.
Perhaps she would find hope in love again one day and finally say yes to Connor’s confession.
There was also a chance that she would remain disillusioned with love forever and never
accept him.
But none of that mattered anymore.
The Julie of the future would be the one to figure out what came next.
Right now, all she dreamed about was poetry and faraway lands.
Meanwhile, Samuel finally understood that it was truly over between him and Julie after she released the videos of his affair with Cynthia.
There would be no reconciliation between them.
He would live out the rest of his days in endless regret. His marriage didn’t end in death. It ended in divorce.
