Chapter 30
Everyone was startled by the sudden noise and turned to look behind them.
Cameras swung around to focus on Anthony, whose face was filled with rage.
Anthony wore a hospital gown. He set down the child in his arms and told him to go inside.
He strode forward, grabbed Clarice, and yanked her behind him. His face was frosted with anger as he said coldly, “We don’t know the person in the video, and she’s not some foster child in this family. If any of you keep this up, I’m calling the police.”
Clarice’s arm throbbed from his grip, and she glared at him defiantly. “What’s there to hide? The more you try to shut me up, the more I’ll talk.”
She turned to the reporters and shouted like she wanted the whole world to hear. “Let me tell you, that woman who knelt before me? She’s my sister–in–law. My husband’s mother took her in. She’s shameless. She had an affair with my husband!”
After that, Clarice looked back at Anthony, smirking mockingly, making no effort to hold back.
A second later, Anthony raised his hand and slapped her hard across the face. The sharp sound echoed through the hospital corridor.
“You hit me? Anthony, you useless man. How dare you hit me! Let me tell you, the only reason I came back is because that bitch Calista begged me to. Otherwise, I’d have divorced you long ago!
“You’ve really grown some guts, hitting me like that! You scumbag!”
Clarice raised her hand and tried to hit him back, but she was no match for his size and strength. What started as an interview turned
into a full–blown fight between husband and wife.
* It wasn’t until Rebecca arrived that it turned into a chaotic brawl among all three of them.
At the same time, a child’s cries echoed from inside the hospital room.
“Dr. Lester, you need to go take a look. The scene is completely out of control.”
Alexander heard the commotion coming from Room 706 and quickly made his way over. The situation had indeed spiraled beyond
control.
Rebecca swung a broom and smacked it against Clarice’s leg. “You filthy slut! How dare you lay a hand on my son!”
One of the reporters asked, “Did you get all that on camera?”
The cameraman replied, “Every second of it.”
Another editor was already eager to draft the article. If this got published, it would definitely hit the headlines.
Just as some reporters were patting themselves on the back, thinking they had the next big headline, several bodyguards in suits suddenly appeared from the far end of the hallway and swiftly brought the chaos under control.
Every reporter widened their eyes in disbelief when they saw Galen walk over. All the cameras that had been raised were lowered at
once.
They might not recognize anyone else, but they definitely recognized him. Lucien’s assistant carried almost the same authority as Lucien himself, even when he wasn’t there.
The reporters were stunned that the Fenwick family had actually stepped in. They couldn’t help but wonder what kind of connection these people had with the Fenwicks.
Galen looked at the crowd of reporters and asked, “Will you delete the footage yourselves, or do we need to do it for you?”
One reporter nervously said, “Mr. Hawthorne, we were just covering a public incident. What’s the connection between this family and the Fenwicks?”
Galen calmly looked at the person who asked the question, then casually pulled out a business card and held it out to him. “You want to know? Why don’t you go to Fenwick Tower and ask Mr. Fenwick yourself? You might get the answers you’re looking for there.”
The reporter was too scared to say another word. No one even had the nerve to take that card from Galen.
“Keep your mouth shut about things you shouldn’t be asking. Come up one by one and delete the footage.”
With that, each person deleted their footage before being allowed to leave. Galen’s presence indicated that this wasn’t a trivial matter
at all. Not just the reporters, but even those who tried to discreetly record from the side were all tracked down.

Once everything was handled, Galen was prepared to report back. His cold gaze brushed past Clarice and settled on Anthony. “Mr. Cannon, you’d better keep the people around you from saying things they shouldn’t.
“The Fenwick family will cover all medical expenses, so just focus on your recovery. As for this incident, there’s no need to worry. Fenwick Group’s legal department will handle the investigation.”
Anthony opened his mouth to speak, but thought better of it, so he simply nodded.
As Galen left with his team, he brushed past Alexander in the corridor. They exchanged a brief nod in greeting.
People always said that one should keep family scandals behind closed doors. However, theirs was now on full display for everyone. Rebecca’s expression was dark with fury as she slammed the door shut.
