Two days later, Sierra packed her bags and boarded the plane with Professor Martin and her senior
classmates.
The flight took over ten hours. Sierra had never been on a plane that long before, and by the time they landed, she was completely exhausted. A car picked them up and brought them to the hotel.
Seeing how tired Sierra looked, Professor Martin actually said a rare extra sentence:
“Get some carly rest tonight. Tomorrow’s meeting is important.”
Sierra quickly nodded and promised she wouldn’t mess anything up.
Back in her room, she sent Johnathan a message, then went to rest.
The next morning, they all rode in a car to a small town. The scenery along the way was beautiful- snowcapped mountains stretched out in every direction.
Sierra felt her mood lighten along with the view.
The car stopped in front of a castle. As soon as Sierra got out, she heard a loud bang, and colorful confetti exploded into the air. She jumped in surprise–then saw someone who absolutely shouldn’t have been there standing at the castle doors.
Sierra opened her mouth but couldn’t get a word out. Before she could react, Dickson and Autumn came running over and pulled her away.
“Quick, quick! You need to change and get your makeup done, or we won’t make it in time.”
Sierra was immediately dragged off. She only had time to glance at Johnathan once–and in that brief second, she saw the indulgent smile in his eyes.,
She was taken to a room filled with makeup artists and stylists.
It wasn’t until she saw the snow–white wedding dress that she finally realized what was happening.
“Surprised?” Autumn winked at her. “We’ve been planning this for days! You have no idea how hard it was not to spill the beans. Professor Yaager really went all out. Look at your dress–that’s not rhinestone, those are real diamonds. And this–this is sapphire. Also, this castle? He bought it. Bought it! Can you believe that?”
The castle had originally been privately owned, and the owner refused to rent it. So Johnathan simply spent a fortune to buy the whole thing.
Sierra wasn’t really hearing what Autumn was saying anymore. Her mind was still spinning.
It wasn’t until she put on the wedding dress and saw her reflection in the mirror that the reality hit her.
She and Johnathan were really getting married.
