Aller handing Evan the papers, Lorenzo left with Yvonne
Noticing Evan hanging back, Yvonne turned to Lorenzo. “Going out again?”

Yvonne quickly looked away. Lorenzo had undeniable charm. No woman could be around him without feeling something. She needed to watch her heart.
Lorenzo went upstairs to freshen up while Yvonne got ready for dinner.

Yvonne finally noticed her phone had been ringing nonstop since she got back. She checked it quickly–messages from Ashley.

“What?” Yvonne said casually, enjoying her soup.
“Did you even check my messages?” Ashley sounded annoyed.

After hanging up. Yvonne clicked on the video Ashley had sent. It was Yolanda’s interview outside the hospital. Yolanda looked frail and pale, her act so convincing it practically leaped off the screen
Yolanda had told her fans she was auditioning for Emmett’s new movie, and they’d celebrated like she’d already nailed the part.
Now it turned out the role had gone to Yvonne, who was retired and from the same agency as Yolanda. That had people talking.
In interviews, Yolanda had played her usual “fake–humble” card. She said she’d love to work with Emmett, but it was up to the company.
Yolanda’s fans immediately claimed the agency made her give up the audition spot, saying she got so upset she ended up in the hospital. They flooded social media, accusing Yvonne of using connections to steal the role and demanding Starry Entertainment explain itself.
Netizens ate up Yolanda’s story, hook, line, and sinker. Netizens didn’t think it through. Even if Yolanda had auditioned, the role wasn’t a sure thing. There were other actors there who were way better. Any of them could’ve ounshined her.

Hearing Ashley’s frustration, Yvonne chuckled “Who said I’m just gonna take it? Let them vent for a bit. Let the rumors fly. It’s not the right time to explain.” Yvonne’s calm voice made Ashley believe Yvonne.
“Don’t you dare feet bad about that lying, scheming woman. She’s not worth your tears”
“Don’t stress. I’m totally chill right now, Yvonne smiled, savoring the soup made by a Michelin–starred chef, warmth spreading through her.
“We just let me know when you’re ready to make your move
- ve. I’ve got your back.” Ashley noticed Yvonne’s relaxed tone and her suspicion grew.
“Relax Let’s see how Starry Entertainment handles it tomorrow,” When Yvonne decided to make her comeback, she’d thought of all the possible backlash and lud her strategies ready.

“Mr. Hammond, we checked. The hospital leak was set up by the actress’s agent. The interview was on purpose. In the car. Evan filled Lorenzo in
Evan couldn’t figure out what Lorenzo was thinking and hesitated to act. Even though Yvonne was now Mrs. Hammond, Evan knew clearly their marriage was pretty much a joke.

Meanwhile, Yvonne had no idea Lorenzo was planning to step in but only if she couldn’t handle it herself.
After dinner, Yvonne mapped out her next career moves, reviewed the script Valerie sent early, and then hit yoga and meditation
The online drama kept getting worse. People were tearing Yvonne apart for her sudden comeback and “stealing” Yolanda’s role. Yolanda scrolled through her phone, gloating at the endless hate aimed at Yvonne.
