Chapter 64
Cassandra thought it over. She was planning to take on Simon, the father of Dorsey Group’s president.
There probably weren’t many lawyers brave enough to take her case.
Kevin would do anything for money, but he was slick. If Simon offered him switch sides right there in court.

When she considered it, there was only one person with the nerve and backbone to stand up to the Dorseys–and he was sitting right in front of her.
She sneaked a glance at Ryan. He was reclining with his eyes closed, pretending to nap.
“Mr. Scott, are you asleep?”
“Yes.”
She rolled her eyes.
“I know exactly what you’re thinking. You want me to help you sue Mr. Dorsey, don’t you?”
“Do you think you can?”
“I know I can.”
Cassandra’s eyes widened in delight. “Really?”
“That depends on whether you can afford

Cassandra’s excitement instantly fizzled out.
Of course, he’d only handled the divorce for free because he personally wanted her and Cameron to split up as soon as possible. He didn’t have any quarrel with Came
Why should he help her for nothing?
Besides, it might even damage their future in–law relationship.
or Simon.
Cassandra slumped back against the seat, gazing up at the stars and feeling rather deflated.
Ryan cracked one eye open and looked at her. “You’ve given up before you’ve even asked what the fee is?”
She sighed. “Whatever it is, I know I can’t afford it.”
Ryan was the third son of the Scott family from Easthaven. He wasn’t exactly short on money.
Besides, he owned Westwood Hotel. Whatever price he named, it would be far out of reach for an ordinary person like her.
“That’s not necessarily true. Maybe what I want is something you can give.”
“What do you mean?”
A lightbulb went on in Cassandra’s mind. She wrapped her arms tightly around herself. ‘ You’re not thinking of…”

He arched an eyebrow and flashed his trademark mischievous grin, teasing her on purpose. Exactly what you’re thinking.”
“You can’t be serious! You’re not planning to sell me off for organs, are you?”
Ryan’s smile froze.
What a wild imagination.
Cassandra waved him off. “Well, that’s a price I won’t pay. My body’s all I have. Revenge can wait a decade if it has to, but selling my organs is out of the question.”
Ryan couldn’t help but laugh and shake his head at her antics.
How could she even think he would sell her organs?
Meanwhile, Annabelle had a restless night. She dreamt a long, unsettling dream. She was in a white dress, holding Cameron’s arm as they slowly entered a grand wedding hall.
All the most prominent guests in Hannover were there, and the whole event was extravagant.
But suddenly, her belly began to ache terribly. She collapsed right there in front of everyone and gave birth to a dog.
It was a white Westie.
The dog came out fully grown, snarling and baring its teeth. It barked wildly at her, even lunging like it meant to bite.
She was terrified, crying out, “Cam, help me!”
But Cameron just stood there, looking down at her with cold disdain, even disgust. “You killed Snowball, so now you have to pay the price!”
“No!”
Annabelle woke with a start, soaked in cold sweat
