Chapter 26
“Exactly. I don’t know how Mr. Lincoln manages his personal life, but that mistress of his is completely out in the open now, flaunting their relationship like she wants the whole world to see it.”
“Alright, enough. There’s no use arguing about this right now. What matters is figuring out how to control the damage before it affects the company any further.”
Zac slowly swept his gaze across the group of shareholders. His voice was calm and firm. “There’s no need to panic. I won’t let this interfere with the IPO.”
“That’s easy for you to say. But what if it does?”
Zac turned toward the shareholder who spoke and replied clearly and deliberately, “If this hurts the IPO, I’ll take full responsibility and resign.”
The room fell silent.
Everyone in the room knew Zac had built Voyager Tech from the ground up. He personally oversaw every critical department. If he were to step down now, no one else would be able to take over that role.
As the shareholders exchanged uneasy glances and stopped pressing him, Zac spoke again. “If there are no further questions, you’re all dismissed. I need to get back to work.”
Once they were gone, Zac picked up his phone to call Liz, only to remember she had already blocked his number. His expression
turned cold.
She used to argue with him anytime she caught him messaging Xena. Now, even with Xena openly sharing their daily life online, Liz hadn’t said a word.
“Is she actually serious about the breakup?” he wondered.
The idea flickered through his mind, but he quickly pushed it away.
She was about to get her wish and marry him. There was no way she really meant to break up with him.
She was just pretending not to care, trying to push him into giving in.
Now that he had let her cool off for a few days, she should have realized he was not going to budge. This was the perfect opportunity to use the situation with Xena to offer her a way back.
With that, he called Chase into his office.
“Call Liz and tell her to come to Voyager Tech.”
Chase looked momentarily surprised but nodded. He made several attempts, but none of the calls went through.
“Mr. Lincoln, Miss Smith isn’t answering.”
Zac’s expression darkened. “Try a different number.”
“Yes, Mr. Lincoln.”
Chase switched to another number and called again. After a few more tries, Liz finally picked up.
“Hello? Who’s this?”
“Hi, Miss Smith. This is Chase Carter, Mr. Lincoln’s assistant. I’ve delivered things to you before. Do you remember me?”
There was a pause before Liz responded in a cool, even tone. “Yes, I remember. What do you want?”

Chapter 20
“Mr. Lincoln would like to speak with you. Are you available to come by Voyager Tech?”
“We’ve already broken up. I don’t see a reason to meet in person. If he has something to say, he can say it over the phone.”
Chase put the call on speaker so Zac could hear everything.
The moment Liz finished speaking, Chase saw Zac’s expression darken.
Before he could decide what to say next, Zac reached over and took the phone from his hand. He gave him a look that told him to
step out.
Chase quickly left the room and gently closed the door behind him.
Once the office was quiet, Zac cleared his throat and spoke in a low voice. “Liz, I’m sure you’ve seen what’s going around online about me and Xena.”
Her voice remained calm and distant. “I have. And?”
