I worked on my reports.
I looked up to see that he was in front of me.
Gavin was thinner.
He looked intense.

wanted.”

Gavin went white.

Before I could speak, Hunter stood in front of

“You’ve had a backup plan. Kayleen, what am
I to you?”
I frowned.

“Gavin, I told you not to come back. Why are
you here?”
“Kayleen, there was a misunderstanding. Why
won’t you give us a chance?”
He looked upset.
For a second, I thought I was in a different
world.
Gavin was the prideful, but now he’s begging

Gavin grabbed my hand and touched it to his

That was something I used to do.
I would do this and beg when I got in trouble.
