Chapter 15
Andrew’s dim eyes suddenly lit up. “Yes, Katherine has always valued my birthday the most, she will definitely
come!”
In the following days, Andrew ignored Sarah’s phone bombardment and carefully prepared for the birthday
party.
He arranged for a renowned violin performance team to settle in the garden restaurant.
Prepared a fireworks show.
We just waited for Katherine to arrive and then we could start!
As time passed by, minute by minute, until the sound of the midnight bell rang, Katherine did not show up.
He swung his fist and smashed it against the wall, feeling both despair and frustration. “Katherine, why were
you so heartless? You wouldn’t even give me a chance to make amends.”
“Did you have to see me die before you would show up?”
“Alright, I will do as you wish!”
Andrew headed straight to the racetrack, straddling his motorcycle, ready to set off.
Just as his friends hurriedly arrived, they stopped him. “Andrew, you’re crazy. That mountain road had just
experienced rain, making it slippery. It’s dangerous to go racing there, it could be life-threatening!”
“Even if you wanted to force Katherine out, you shouldn’t use such extreme methods. What if something really
happened to you? How would the Thompson family cope?”
“I would be fine,” Andrew said. “Even if Katherine is angry with me, she would never just stand by and watch
me get into trouble. She will definitely show up!”
Everyone was in a panic, and they all exclaimed in unison, “What if she doesn’t come?”
“No ifs and buts!” Andrew put on his helmet, his tone resolute. “She will definitely come!”
“Andrew, please, don’t go, okay?” Sarah grabbed his hand, crying uncontrollably. “Even if you don’t think about
me, at least think about our children!”
“What are we supposed to do if something happened to you?”
“You won’t die.” Andrew brushed off her clinging arms, his expression indifferent. “You leave here immediately,
the last person Katherine wants to see is you.”
He said yes and, without hesitation, tightened the handlebars and got on the racetrack.
The motorcycle was weaving through the winding mountain road, and the wheels started to slide crazily.
Andrew watched as the red motorcycle caught up from behind, a slight smile forming at the corner of his lips. He executed a smooth and stylish reverse bend.
The car body flew out like a parabola, landing heavily and emitting a piercing sound of friction.
He was thrown to the ground by the car, splashing mud and water, with a face covered in mud.
Andrew struggled to lift his head and looked at the rider on the red motorcycle, showing a joyful smile. “Katherine, you finally came. I knew you still loved me!”
“Mr. Thompson, I was not Katherine, I was Ada from the racetrack!”
The woman struggled to help him up and shouted, “This mountain road is too dangerous. You shouldn’t have
come out alone. I will take you back.”
“Not her?”
Andrew collapsed to the ground, laughing bitterly, as his consciousness slowly faded.
Katherine really didn’t want him anymore, even if he begged her to death, it would be in vain.
Waking up again, he found himself in the intensive care unit.
Billy approached and said, “Mr. Thompson, Mrs. Thompson has sent you a birthday gift.”
Andrew excitedly opened the delivery box, took out the documents inside, and his heart instantly sank like a
deep abyss.
