“No, please.” Katherine pushed him away, her tone pleading. “Please, Andrew, spare me, okay?”
This sentence thoroughly angered Andrew.
He picked her up and threw her onto the bed in the bedroom, with an unwilling expression on his face, saying, “You have loved me for eight years, why can’t you continue to love me?”
“Since whatever I did couldn’t pull back the heart that wanted to leave, then I will find another way to keep
you!”
Katherine looked at the dark light surging in his eyes, and couldn’t help but tremble all over, tremblingly asking, “What… what are you going to do?”
“Make you have a child for me!” Andrew raised his hand and tore her nightgown, leaning down with a cold and stern voice, “I want to see how you can escape once you have a child.”
That night, Katherine cried until she fainted, but it couldn’t stop his abuse.
In the following days, he completely tore off the veil of tenderness and forced her to eat, embracing her day
and night.
She wanted to take advantage of Andrew’s sleep and borrow his phone to send a distress message, but she found out that the man had changed the phone password.
She heavily bribed the pilot, hoping that he would find an opportunity to help her escape.
The next day, the pilot had his legs disabled by Andrew and thrown in front of her. “Katherine, I told you before, you can’t escape, don’t waste your efforts.”
“You could never leave here until you learned to listen.”
She glared at him with anger, pounced on him, and fiercely bit down on his shoulder.
The man endured the pain, but he tightly held onto Katherine’s waist without loosening even a bit. “I won’t let go of you, Katherine, unless I die!”
Months later, Katherine was found to be pregnant by the doctor.
She was utterly despondent, locking herself in the room without eating or drinking, crying uncontrollably.
Andrew pushed the door open and placed the delicious food in front of her. His voice was gentle as he said, “You’re going to be a mother, and yet you’re still so stubborn? Be obedient and eat something.”
“I didn’t eat!” Katherine waved her hand and knocked the food in front of her away, crying uncontrollably. She
said, “Andrew, you ruined all my plans for the future. I hate you!”
“I will never forgive you in my entire life!”
“I also hated myself, being able to only keep you by using such despicable means,” Andrew said, forcing himself to lower his head and clean up the mess on the ground.
I skillfully peeled an apple for her. “This is your favorite apple, crisp, sweet, and juicy. Give it a try.”
Katherine remained silent, then suddenly picked up the dagger from the fruit tray and without hesitation, stabbed it into the man’s chest. “I don’t want to eat, I just want to kill you!”
“Clang.”
The apple in Andrew’s hand fell to the ground, as if his heart plunged into an abyss.
He lowered his gaze and looked at the dagger inserted into his chest, tears rolling down his cheeks. “Is it because I got you pregnant that you hate and despise me so much?”
“You used to love me so much before, and you were so eager to become a mother.”
Blood gushed out and stained the man’s white shirt, Katherine stared blankly at the bloodstained dagger in her hand, taking several seconds to realize what she had done.
She panicked and dropped the dagger, supporting the unconscious Andrew, and shouted, “Doctor, come
quickly, he’s injured!”
Before long, the doctor arrived and urgently performed surgery on Andrew.
Katherine asked about his condition, and the doctor’s expression turned serious. “Mr. Thompson’s spleen had ruptured but he has just come out of danger and needs to rest.”
“Mrs. Thompson, please, based on our past relationship, do not provoke him anymore.”
“Got it,” Katherine sighed helplessly.
She heated a cup of milk and brought it into the room. A flicker of surprise crossed Andrew’s face, and he sadly lowered his head, saying, “What, you think I’m fine and now you’re planning to poison me with the milk?”
Katherine frowned in displeasure, “If you don’t want to drink, then I’ll pour it.”
“No, I’ll drink it,” Andrew said, trying to please her with a smile. “Even if this milk is poisoned, I would still
enjoy it.”
“I was too impulsive just now, I’m sorry.” Katherine lowered her gaze, hiding the dark light in her eyes. “How
about I sing you a lullaby as an apology?”
Andrew looked at her, and his eyes gradually turned red.
He lay on his side, tightly holding her arm, happily closing his eyes and saying, “Let’s begin.”
She hummed softly, watching him fall into a deep sleep, emitting strong breaths.
Katherine slowly withdrew her hand and quickly picked up the laptop with a glowing screen on the bedside
table. She connected to the internet and logged into WhatsApp, sending Dominic her location.
Over there, there was an immediate response, “Katherine, you manage to hold him steady, I will come to rescue you right away!”
