Chapter 25
Katherine logged out of WhatsApp and put the laptop back in its original position.
She was about to leave when she saw Andrew, with his eyes tightly closed, seemingly trapped in a nightmare,
urgently calling out her name.
Thinking of an escape plan, she suppressed her hatred and gently held his hand, whispering, “I’m here.”
“Katherine!”
Andrew woke up in a cold sweat from his dream and saw her sitting by the bed. He was so surprised that his
facial features distorted, and it took a while before he said, “It’s really rare, you haven’t left?”
“I already had your child, and there was no way out except to resign myself.” Katherine looked wearily out the window. “I just hope that after giving birth to the child, you won’t lock me up anymore and let me go back to
Westview.”
Andrew burst into tears of joy and passionately kissed her hand, saying, “I promise you, as soon as the
three-month danger period is over, I will take you back!”
“Katherine, I was so happy. I was going to be a father. This was our first child, and regardless of the gender, I
would raise the child to become a qualified heir of the Thompson family!”
Katherine withdrew her hand and stood up to leave.
She would only have children for the man she deeply loved, not for Andrew.
The first thing she did when she returned to Westview was to get rid of it!
Katherine’s agreement to stay with the child made Andrew overjoyed.
Despite having injuries on his body, he ordered someone to start preparing the baby crib and mother and
baby supplies.
He also showed Katherine a drawing of the child’s facial features, excitedly saying, “Katherine, do you think our baby is good-looking? Big eyes, double eyelids like you, face shape and chin like me, really adorable.”
Katherine nervously gazed at the sea, lost in her thoughts, when she was brought back to reality by the man’s
passionate kiss.
She pushed him away with a distant tone, “You have a bloody smell on you, it makes me feel nauseous.”
“Sorry,” Andrew took two steps back, with a bright smile. “I came up with 100 names for the child, both for boys and girls. Pick one that you like.”
“Let’s talk about it later,” Katherine evaded.
In the evening, she heated up milk for Andrew and sang a lullaby to put him to sleep.
The man was excited and thrilled, and he hugged her and kissed her for a long time.
In the middle of the night, the sound of an airplane landing could be heard outside the window.

Katherine’s spirits soared, she jumped out of bed, pushed open the door, ran out of the villa, and threw herself into Dominic’s arms as he was running towards her. She urgently exclaimed, “Take me away, quickly!”
“Katherine, you were so cruel, you actually drugged me in the milk!”
In the villa, an exasperated Andrew rushed out and exclaimed, “Someone, catch her!”
In an instant, the helicopter took off into the sky.
Katherine looked at the ground, her hand clutching her painful wound, as Andrew fell to the ground. She
silently whispered, “Goodbye.”

Back in Westview, Katherine hurriedly went to the hospital to have an abortion procedure.
Andrew called her frantically.
She directly changed her SIM card.
She was about to enter the operating room when Andrew came running from the corridor, through the dark, intimidating bodyguards. He half-knelt on the ground, with a pleading expression, saying, “Katherine, please don’t kill our child. I promise I will never lock you up again and I won’t stand in the way of your marriage to my
stepfather!”
“As long as you are willing to keep the child, I promise you everything, I beg you!”
“I don’t want this child,” Katherine said, turning away without looking back. “Andrew, I only want to have a child with the man I love, and that person will never be you!”
Andrew cried in despair, his dark eyes filled with unwillingness. “I will never give up, Katherine. I am certain
that I have a way to win you back!”
