That was when my phone rang sharply. I pulled out my phone and gazed at it. As expected, it was Camille.

I tucked my phone away and drove to the hotel where her birthday party was being held. After I parked my car, I saw Kieran among the crowd. He was holding a bouquet of fresh flowers.
Apparently, he still hadn’t completely given up on Camille. He still intended to gain favor with her and become her husband, but Benson would never allow that to happen.
The Zane family was facing bankruptcy. Of course, Benson knew what games they were playing.
I took a deep breath before I walked into the hotel. Within the vast party hall, many guests were dressed in their best outfits. They were all Camille’s dishonest friends or young men who vied for her beauty and status.
I didn’t see Camille anywhere, but I couldn’t be bothered to find out either. Instead, I was happy to have found somewhere to sit.
“Hey! Who said you could sit here? Stand up now!”
Before I could take a seat, I heard someone angrily shouting. Turning toward the voice, I saw Camille and Kieran walking over. She was wearing the dress that he bought her. These two sure didn’t waste any time getting together.
I got up and looked at the chairs, but I didn’t find any name tags or markings indicating that they were assigned seats. That said, I didn’t want any trouble. So, I got up and took a seat at the far corner, trying to get as far away as possible from them.
However, Camille and Kieran just wouldn’t give up. They took off after me and stopped in front of me.
“Is this your seat? You can’t just sit here!”
