Chapter 12
After the first comment mentioning Aurora went viral with likes, even more comments poured in.
“Aurora said she was a musician, right? After all these years, does she even have any hit songs?”
“No idea, but I heard after marrying Ethan she quit the job. Supposedly, she just stayed home living off her husband, playing the role of a spoiled wife without any work skills.”
“I really don’t get what Ethan saw in Aurora. Lilian is so much better!”
“Exactly, it’s such a tragedy. Lilian’s so talented and can only live for half a year, sob…”
“Lilian’s truly the only angel in the songwriting circle.”
“Get Aurora off the stage!”
“If Aurora knows what’s good for her, she’d just divorce Ethan and stop clinging to him!”
“Yeah, support Lilian and Ethan being together!”
“Mr. Steele belongs to Lilian. Aurora, get lost!”
The internet praise for Lilian and insults aimed at Aurora continued to escalate.
Before Aurora could think too much about it, her phone rang. It was Alexander.
She thought for a moment and answered.
“Lilian’s completely shameless!”
Alexander almost cursed out loud.
“Aurora, did you see that short video Lilian posted? I swear…”
“Even though they paid ten million, we only sold them the usage rights. How dare she claim it’s her original work!”
“In our country, authors hold the copyright. The song’s copyright belongs to you. Sue her!”
Listening to Alexander’s frantic outburst, Aurora smiled gratefully.
“Mr. Frost, please don’t get too worked up,” she soothed.
“How could I not be?” Alexander’s voice was full of anger. “You shouldn’t check the comments these days. I just got word that Lilian is stirring up public opinion and attacking you everywhere!”
“That so-called ‘angel of the songwriting circle’-I’m really sick of it!”
Hearing Alexander stand up for her warmed Aurora’s heart.
“Alex, listen to me,” she said gently, “first, she’s only claiming it’s her original work for now. If the song later credits ‘Rory’ or

‘Alexander Records,’ then it’s just talk-nothing too serious.”
“Second, if we’re going to sue, the plaintiffs would be Alexander Records and Rory. That would mean revealing my true identity.”
“Alex, I’m not ready to expose who I really am.”
Alexander gradually calmed down upon hearing her.
He had to admit she made a good point. At least before the song was officially released, nothing was set in stone.
Especially since she called him “Alex” now-it helped him relax quite a bit.
“The things being said online are awful,” Alexander said. “They’re bullying you.”
Aurora gazed out at the city through the car window and smiled softly.
The outside world knew nothing about her.
Even Ethan didn’t fully understand her capabilities.
As the Sinclair heiress, did they raise me on just pampering? No training?
In the years since the Sinclair family collapsed, had she never thought about reclaiming her status?
That would be naïve.
Aurora didn’t say much, but her mind was clear.
Still, those online insults were harsh. Even with her strong tolerance, they wore on her.
And Ethan…
What did he think when he saw Lilian doing all this?
Or was…
This exactly what he had planned?
On the other side, Ethan was busy handling company matters.
Steele Group was a leading company specializing in cutting-edge global technology, also involved in finance, hardware, design, entertainment, and other industries.
Some might still remember that years ago, Steele Group was a traditional business.
After Ethan rose to power, he adjusted the company’s strategy.
He personally led the company to develop in newer, more advanced directions.
Over the years, he had gradually overshadowed other competitors.

Everyone recognized Ethan’s abilities.
Ethan Steele was the sole heir to the family, yet worth a thousand sons from any other house.
After several meetings, Ethan sat in the CEO office chair at the top floor, lightly pinching the bridge of his nose.
The huge floor-to-ceiling windows offered a panoramic view of Ashire.
The Steele Group building stood in the city center, fully owned by the company.
Cars flowed endlessly along the overpass outside. It was the place many dreamed of working at.
Ethan’s phone buzzed softly on the polished wood desk.
He reached out and picked it up.
It was a message from Lilian.
Lilian: Ethan, can I come to your company tonight and leave with you?
In her studio, Lilian watched everything happening online, very satisfied.
“Well done,” she said to the person on the other end of her phone. “Keep pressuring Aurora. Get a few more trending
topics. When the live show happens in a few days, it’ll boost me even higher.”
After hanging up, Lilian glanced at the caregiver standing nearby.
“Got something to say?” Lilian asked directly.
The caregiver looked conflicted.
“Miss Hart, are you sure this is the right way? What if the copyright issue causes trouble? What if Alexander Records
comes after us?”
Lilian sneered. “Ten million isn’t enough for them?”
“But still…” The caregiver looked worried.
Lilian casually checked her phone, waiting for Ethan’s reply.
She said, “Alexander Records is one of the VocalNight sponsors. The more hype I generate, the better it is for them.
They’ll get a bigger share, so they’ll turn a blind eye to what I do.”
“And since they have artists competing, the attention will be even greater. If it gets tricky, I’ll just work with them to
promote their artists in exchange.”
The caregiver was surprised by this.
Lilian loved seeing that look-it made her feel superior, like she was looking down on everyone.
“These things happen all the time. Most things can be negotiated.”

In a good mood, Lilian “reluctantly” offered the caregiver some advice.
She said, “It’s like my Vivian Floral Studio. It started out just like that. Guess how I got it to where it is now?”
The caregiver shook her head.
Lilian smiled proudly and slyly.
She didn’t reveal the answer outright but said mysteriously, “Think about it yourself. See how much you can figure out.”
Of course, Lilian’s rise was due to her “luxury villa floral showcase” going viral.
All her orders from the wealthy circles came through Ethan-either directly from him, from his friends, or from people trying to curry favor with him.
So she needed to hold onto Ethan tightly.
The caregiver didn’t understand but dared not ask more.
Lilian kept looking at her phone, reading comments attacking Aurora online.
Especially the one that said, “Aurora’s 25 years can’t compare to Lilian’s 25 seconds.”
That made Lilian burst out laughing.
“I thought you were impressive,” Lilian sneered. “Aurora, you’re nothing special.”
Just then, Lilian’s phone buzzed again with a new message.
She glanced at it and frowned deeply.
The message read, “Found out why Aurora went to the hospital. She’s been pregnant for over a month.”
