Lilian didn’t expect to completely control Ethan. She only wanted to be better than Aurora-that was enough.

Aurora was in the hospital, and Lilian sat in the passenger seat of Ethan’s Aston Martin.
“We’re here.”
Seeing Ethan only lightly tapping the steering wheel with his left hand, not doing much else, Lilian spoke first.
“Okay.” Ethan responded, still without any other movements.
Lilian thought for a moment, then shyly whispered, “Ethan, aren’t you going to walk me upstairs?”
It was an adult invitation, so no need to say it directly.
Ethan stopped tapping the steering wheel and glanced at Lilian.
He didn’t immediately reply but just looked at her.
That made Lilian’s heart skip a beat.
After about three seconds, he said, “I’m a bit tired today.”

The atmosphere grew awkward between them.
“Go home,” Ethan said. “Get some rest.”

Finally, Ethan dropped Lilian off at the elevator entrance.
The elevator rose, and Lilian returned home.
From her window, she saw Ethan walk back to his car, a trace of satisfaction flashing in his eyes.
She recalled the chain of moves she had made after learning about Aurora’s pregnancy earlier that evening.

Lilian suddenly stood up, startling the caregivers nearby.

But they dared not ask and just watched as Lilian thought deeply, then made a phone call.
“Yes, it’s me, Lilian.” Lilian said. “I need you to do something for me now.”
“Don’t ask about my reasons. If you care about me, just do it.”

After hanging up, a fierce light flashed in Lilian’s eyes.
Ethan liked children.
They had been together long enough for her to know his preferences.
Although Ethan had applied for divorce from Aurora, the divorce wasn’t finalized yet.
During this period, if one party didn’t want the divorce, they could withdraw the application, and the marriage would
remain intact.
If Ethan learned Aurora was pregnant, the divorce might fail.

She checked and found two replies.
One was from the person she had just called: “Okay, I promise. I’ll do it.”
The other was Ethan’s reply to her earlier message asking if she could accompany him after work: “Okay.”
Then, at 8:45 p.m., she left Vivian Floral Studio, and her movements were caught by paparazzi who had been arranged
beforehand.

Watching the Aston Martin start downstairs and drive away, Lilian chuckled softly.
“Trying to keep him with a child? I won’t let you have your way.”
“In three days, the first live broadcast of ‘VocalNight’ will be your nightmare’s beginning.”
“You will lose everything, and I will take over all that’s yours.”
“Aurora, you can’t beat me!”
