Looking at the bruises on their faces, I smiled. “Kyle, Melissa, did someone beat you up? Do you need me to call the police for you?”
Melissa quickly waved her hands. “No need. Scarlett, for the sake of all the Christmases Ethan spent with you, I’m begging you to save him. He’s never been able to handle hardship— prison will kill him.”
I opened my mouth in surprise. “Melissa, are you confused? I don’t have the power to save him.”
“You don’t, but your father does. He’s an industry mogul— wouldn’t it be simple for him to spend some money and pull some strings to save Ethan?”
I felt speechless and couldn’t help rolling my eyes.
I sneered, “Melissa, you’re wrong. My father doesn’t have that kind of power. Otherwise, your son wouldn’t just be facing ten years in prison–it would be much worse.”
Hearing this, Kyle gritted his teeth and started slapping himself
hard across the face.
“He made mistakes, and I’m responsible too. It’s my fault- I didn’t raise him right. I apologize to you. As long as you save Ethan, you can do whatever you want!”

At the police station before, Kyle had wanted to kill he was humbly begging me.

They had attempted murder. I signaled to Stella that she could call the police now.
Then I leisurely walked over to Kyle and Melissa, who were pinned under the bodyguards‘ feet, and smiled softly.
“Thanks—I was actually wondering what to do with you two, but fortunately you delivered yourselves right to me. A family
