Chapter 3
Back at the house, Julian rushed to his study to handle work.
Audrey gripped Liam’s arm, dragging him into the bedroom I once occupied.
The entire way, Liam fought desperately but couldn’t overpower an adult: “Let me go! What are you doing?!”
Audrey’s face darkened with rage as she hissed:
“You were going to tell on me, weren’t you?”
“You wanted to tell Julian that I killed your mother, didn’t you?!”
Liam trembled with fear. I positioned myself in front of him, but could do nothing to stop Audrey’s madness.
She added sulfuric acid to milk brought by a servant, then forcibly gripped Liam’s jaw and poured it down his throat.
Seeing this, I lunged at her in blind fury: “Get away from him, you fucking bitch!” But my efforts were futile.
Liam was too small and weak to break free, forced to swallow the caustic mixture.
Not satisfied, Audrey grabbed his head and slammed it against the wall:
‘He’s finally back, and this time I will be fucking with him. I won’t let anyone ruin this!”
With a sickening thud, Liam’s head split open, blood running down his face.
His throat was severely burned, leaving him only able to rasp out screams without forming words.
Witnessing this, I felt unbearable agony, my spirit weeping bloody tears.
Julian heard the commotion and pushed open the door.
Audrey instantly changed her demeanor, quickly wiping the blood from Liam’s face before collapsing to the floor with a tearful expression:
“Liam, sweetie, Auntie didn’t mean any harm. I just wanted you to drink something. Please don’t
misunderstand?”
Seeing her distressed state, Julian’s eyes filled with sympathy.
He turned to Liam, his gaze venomous:
“Liam! You’re exactly like your mother–cold–blooded and vicious!”
“Apologize! Now!”
But the moment Liam opened his mouth to explain, blood gushed out.
Julian suddenly grabbed his shoulders in alarm:
“What’s happening? Why is he coughing up blood?”
Audrey pretended to wipe away tears, whimpering:
“He drank some red dye earlier. I tried to get him to spit it out, but he wouldn’t listen.”
Next second, without hesitation, Julian coldly threw Liam to the floor.
Already weakened from Audrey’s torture, the impact caused Liam to lose consciousness.
Seeing Liam go silent, Julian assumed he was faking. Enraged, he kicked Liam’s head viciously twice
“Get up and apologize to Audrey, or I’ll take the whip to you!”
Hearing this, my heart seized with terror!
I remembered Julian owned a woven cane whip that could tear open an adult’s skin with a single stroke. For someone as small as Liam, such a beating would be fatal!
My mind went blank–forgetting I was already dead–as I rushed over and fell to my knees before Julian:
“Please, I’m begging you! Liam is your son too. Don’t do this to him…”
But no one could hear my desperate pleas.
Meanwhile, Audrey deliberately provoked him further:
“Don’t you want Vivian to come back? This is the perfect opportunity.”
Julian looked at her questioningly, trying to understand her meaning. Audrey lowered her head, concealing the gleam in her eyes:
“Vivian adores Liam. If she sees him hurt, she’ll definitely return.”
I couldn’t believe my ears! I screamed in rage: “Don’t listen to her! She just wants Liam dead!”
“Julian, wake the hell up!”
But no matter how desperately I shouted, I couldn’t influence Julian’s thoughts.
After a moment of contemplation, he spoke coldly:
“Fine. Tomorrow we’ll livestream it. I’ll make sure Vivian stops playing games and comes back to
me.”
