Chapter 25
Mia’s eyes flushed crimson with rage as she growled through clenched teeth, “Vivienne, how long do you think you can act all high and mighty for? Once Sebastian divorces you, what will you have left? When that day comes, crushing you will be as easy as stepping on an ant!”
Vivienne laughed. “If I have no one to rely on, then I’ll just rely on myself. Who in this world truly depends on anyone? Though I suppose some people can’t survive without running to a man the moment trouble hits. It’s like they’d die without one.”
She gently patted Mia’s face. “Besides… I don’t need a man to teach you a lesson.”
Mia’s gaze locked onto Vivienne with such venom that it seemed to drip with poison. Then, as if she had suddenly remembered something, she let out a cruel laugh. “Vivienne, do you know how pathetic you looked that day? You were just a drowning mutt, gasping for air. How much of a failure do you have to be that not a single soul stepped forward to help you? That must have felt hopeless, didn’t it?”
side. How
A sharp slap landed on Mia’s face, jerking her head to the side. However, the pain didn’t faze her. It only made her even more gleeful.
“Did I hit a nerve?” she mocked, eyes lighting up. “Just seeing you like this reminds me of how you flailed around, struggling to breathe… It was hilarious!
“I even saved the video on my phone. I watch it every day. I feel bloody good each time I replay the scene where you almost died! The mighty Mrs. Holt, reduced to something even stray dogs would pity…”
As Vivienne raised her hand, Mia–still defiant–taunted through gritted teeth.
“Go ahead. The harder you slap me, the more it proves how much I’ve gotten under your skin. A few slaps are nothing. I’ll just recover while rewatching the video where you almost drowned. The pain is nothing compared to that memory, you know.”
Vivienne lifted her hand again but froze halfway. She didn’t slap Mia this time. Instead, she looked at Mia with a chilling smile.
“You’re right. A few slaps mean nothing.”
Suddenly, she yanked Mia up by the hair. Her gaze was as sharp as blades.

“For a murderer who almost drowned me, a few slaps are akin to a slap on the wrist.” Vivienne stared her down, her voice frigid. “You enjoyed watching me drown, didn’t you? But why just watch? Isn’t it more fun to experience it yourself?”
She signaled to the bodyguards with a glance. One of them kicked open a bathroom stall, and they shoved Mia forward, pressing her head down into the toilet bowl. “Ahh!” Mia screamed, thrashing wildly.
Vivienne gave an indifferent order. “Hold her down.”
The bodyguards quickly pinned, Mia’s arms and legs in place. Vivienne pressed the flush button, and a stream of water rushed out, pouring over Mia’s face.
Mia struggled desperately, but she couldn’t move an inch. The cold, foul–smelling water entered her nose and mouth, choking her and triggering a terrifying sense of suffocation.
She choked on mouthfuls of water, panicked and gasping.
Once the water stopped, Mia shouted hoarsely, coughing hard, “Let go of me… Let go
of-Mmp
Vivienne smirked coldly. “You thought that you were tough, didn’t you? Let’s see how long that lasts.”
When the tank finished refilling, she calmly repeated the
process.
With a humiliation worse than death, Mia screamed at the top of her lungs, cursing Vivienne with every foul word she knew.
“You wretch! Why didn’t you just drown back then? Vivienne, you’re nothing but a slut! You’ll sleep with anyone! You’re disgusting!”
