Chapter 27
Sebastian glanced at her momentarily, but he didn’t notice anything unusual about her expression. “Come with me to the hospital now.”
“Alright. However, I’m halfway through my meal now, Mr. Holt. If you don’t mind waiting, I’d like to finish my meal first,” Vivienne said, not opposing his
demand.
He fell silent for a few seconds before he sat down on the seat across from her. Based on how he was acting, it seemed he had agreed to her request.
Vivienne continued to finish her meal without a hint of worry.
After taking a few bites, she turned to Sebastian, who had been watching her eat in silence, and asked, “Mr. Holt, I doubt you’ve eaten yet, considering the time. Would you like to have something?”
Sebastian seemed to be in a daze. For some explicit reason, he began to reminisce about the past. Back then, he used to work overtime frequently, and he never ate his meals on time.
When they had first gotten married, Vivienne would prepare a nutritious meal for him every day while she waited for him to come home.
She’d claimed she was just trying to nurse his stomach into good health since he had gastric..
Sometimes, she’d even bring food to his office if it got too late and he hadn’t returned home yet.
Back then, he hated her.
So, one time, when she had dropped by to bring him some food, he had reprimanded her and warned her to never come to his office again. From that day onward, she never did.
However, she would still message him every day at a specific time to remind him to eat his meals.
The thing was, he had rarely read any of her messages. In fact, most of the time, he’d even be too lazy to open them.
At that moment, Sebastian seemed to realize that she had not messaged him in a long time. Since when did that happen?
“Sebastian, if you don’t want to eat anything, you can just wait for me outside. I’ll meet you once I’m done. You’re just making me feel uncomfortable by staring at me,” Vivienne stated calmly, interrupting him from his thoughts.
He snapped back to his senses and realized that she had not advised him to grab a bite despite knowing that he had not eaten yet.
She truly was acting like she no longer cared about him.
After finishing her meal, Vivienne and Sebastian went to the hospital.
Mia’s eyes were red. She looked furious as she lay there in a hospital ward. “Melanie, you need to make sure that bitch, Vivienne, begs me for forgiveness.
“I want her to beg me around the clock. I also want her to punish herself while she begs. Otherwise, I’ll cut her up and feed her to my dogs!”
pushed open.
Mia had been fantasizing about how she’d make Vivienne pay when the ward’s door was
“Ms. Evans, your words have posed a threat to my personal safety. If anything happens to me, you’ll be the prime suspect…
“After all, Mr. Holt and Ms. Schafer had heard your threats earlier,” Vivienne reminded Mia.
Mia was immediately filled with hatred when she saw Vivienne. She quickly moved her arms, ready to pounce on Vivienne. However, Melanie quickly held Mia back
With a self–righteous expression, Melanie exclaimed, “Ms. Moore, I know I’ve caused a lot of misunderstanding between you and Mia. “However, no matter the case, you can’t beat her up so badly to the
he point where she needs to be hospitalized, let alone do such cruel things to her.” Melanie had indeed come up with a brilliantly crafted statement. She had claimed that she had caused the misunderstandings between Vivienne and Mia.

Hence, regardless of whether it was right or wrong, Melanie had to ensure that she was involved in the situation.
