Chapter 30
Melanie added, “I understand that it would not be appropriate for us to escalate the matter, considering that Ms. Moore is still your wife.
“Why don’t we just ask her to apologize to Mia Instead? I’ll try to calm Mia down too. What do you think?”
“She won’t apologize to Mia,” Sebastian replied in a low voice.
Although he wasn’t sure what Vivienne was up to with her recent attitude, he had picked up on a few things after their repeated arguments,
It would be impossible to get her to apologize.
Melanie suppressed the frigidity seeping into her eyes and asked lightly, “Is there nothing you can do about it?”
“Melanie, did Mia apologize to Vivienne after pushing her into the water?” Sebastian asked as his dark gaze fell on her.
Melanie’s breath was caught in her throat, leaving her incapable of speaking for a short moment.
Sebastian’s voice remained unreadable as he continued flatly, “There was solid evidence against Mia regarding that case, but I let her off the hook since you pleaded to me on her behalf.
“However, in Vivienne’s eyes, Mia had nearly killed her. Do you really think she would apologize to a murderer?”
Melanie sharply realized that Sebastian’s attitude toward Vivienne seemed to have shifted subtly.
She immediately became anxious, exclafming, “But no matter what the situation is, she had gone overboard by doing such things to Mia…”
Turning to her, he interrupted her mid–sentence and reasoned, “This is all based on Mia’s own claims. You and I did not witness it happening. Also, I’ve already gone easy on her by not sending her to jail.
“Melanie, she’s just your friend. Do you really want me to humiliate my wife for someone who doesn’t even matter to me? What would others say?”
Melanie understood the meaning behind Sebastian’s words. He would take her side if it came down to her and Vivienne. However, if things came down to Mia and Vivienne, he would not take Mia’s side.
No matter what, Vivienne was still his wife.
There were already a lot of rumors swirling outside, so it was impossible Vivienne.
for Sebastian to continue allowing rumors to swirl that he had helped Mia instead of
Melanie was smart, and she knew that Sebastian would only get irritated at her if she pushed the situation even further.
Since Melanie had only wanted to antagonize Vivienne by making her apologize, she nodded lightly and agreed, “Alright, I’ll go and talk to Mia.”
Vivienne was unaware of how the situation with Mia had ended, nor did she care about it either.
She was about to start her new job next week. However, she still had to grasp all of the company’s information and meet all of the business partners Jason had introduced to her.
She was swamped with work.
At that moment, she was in a sports club and exchanging pleasantries with her business partners seated across from her.
Since jason was the one who had introduced them, the group of people had treated Vivienne with utmost respect.
After finishing their discussion about half an hour later, one of them gave her a handshake, inviting her to join them.
“Ms. Moore, I heard that a group of supermodels has just entered the club. Would you like to join us as we take a look?”

Vivienne understood that the group wasn’t merely going to “take a look” at those supermodels. With a faint smile, she responded, “Mr. Lockhart will accompany you guys. I’d like to stay here for some fresh air, so I’ll just skip out.”
Since she had rejected them, they didn’t press her to follow along.
Once Jason and the group of people had left, an exaggerated flirty I’ve missed messing around with you.”
Ice sounded from behind her, “Oh, aren’t you Mrs. Holt? It’s been so long since we last met.
Vivienne raised an eyebrow and slowly turned. She immediately saw a man in a checkered shirt, looking at her lewdly at a short distance away.
Seeing that she had turned, the man froze momentarily before his eyes lit up with a her. “Mrs. Holt, it’s only been a short while since we last met, yet you’ve become
