Chapter 33

The crowd’s gazes were like needles piercing into Vivienne’s body, causing her immense pain.
Vivienne no longer held any hope for Sebastian. She had once believed that she would not feel a thing, no matter how he treated her.
However, at that moment, as she looked at the gleeful and curious stares coming from the crowd, she felt like someone had dunked her heart in a bucket of freezing water.
The frigidity was seeping into her heart, filling her with despair.
She met Sebastian’s eyes and enunciated, “I won’t apologize. Not only will I not apologize, but I also want him to apologize to me for his earlier behavior.”
If this had happened in the past, she would have immediately listened to Sebastian and apologized to Leonard. However, she refused to suffer in silence any more. The crowd erupted in disbelief, and everyone was wondering if Vivienne had lost her mind.
With feigned concern, Melanie exclaimed, “Ms. Moore, you’re the one who hit Mr. Hutz. This can be over with a quick apology, and Sebastian is also doing this for your sake.
“Not to mention, the Hutz Group and the Holt Group are business partners. It won’t be good for anyone if things escalate.”
Melanie had seen what had really happened moments ago. She also saw how Leonard had deliberately tried to take advantage of Vivienne, and how he intentionally spilled wine on her.
Vivienne turned to Melanie.
Seeing that Vivienne was looking at her, Melanie curled her lips into a provocative smile, intending to add fuel to the fire.
Vivienne understood the meaning behind her smile.
It was one thing for onlookers to be oblivious to the truth. However, not only had Sebastian, her own husband, refused to take her side, but he had even demanded that she apologize to the perpetrator.
Melanie continued to feign concem as she added fuel to the flame. “You should be more forgiving. It’s just some wine. There’s no reason for you to overreact—” Before she could finish her sentence, Vivienne splashed a glass of wine toward Melanie’s face, causing her to shriek.
Vivienne placed the wine glass down on the table and said flatly, “You’re right. It’s important to be forgiving. Since it’s just some wine, I’m sure you won’t overreact, right, Ms. Schafer?”
“Vivienne, that’s enough!” Sebastian tightened his grip around her waist as he stared at her coldly.
“Ms. Schafer said that she wouldn’t mind being splashed with wine. Not only does she not mind, but she even has to apologize to me. Isn’t that what you all just said?” she asked with a smile.
His expression darkened further.
At that moment, Leonard had finally returned to his senses, and he immediately roared, “Do you think this can be settled with a simple apology? Dream on! “Don’t think that you can push the Hutz Group around that easily. Sebastian, this is not over until I receive a satisfactory solution!”
Vivienne glanced at Leonard, answering, “Mr. Hutz, you’re right. Ending this with a simple apology would be too easy. Mr. Hutz, you should apologize to me instead.”
“You want me to apologize to you?” Leonard looked at her in disbelief.
“Shouldn’t you?”
He had never been slapped before, and he was currently being publicly humiliated. He immediately New into a rage.
“You’re the one who injured ine, so why should I apologize to you? How can you be so shameless? Do you think I won’t be able to teach you a lesson just because you’re Mr. Holt’s wife?”
Vivienne looked down at him coldly and answered, “Fine, then. I want to see exactly how you’d do so.”
Leonard was at a loss for words. He couldn’t just hit her with so many people watching. Not to mention, Sebastian was still standing there.
No matter how much Sebastian hated Vivienne, he wouldn’t just stand still and allow him to hit his wife.
Hence, Leonard was at a loss for what to do.
Suddenly, a cold glint flickered across his eyes as he asked, “Mrs. Holt, are you sure you want me to to you
